Kind of wishing we could go back to our night with Jason Yang. What a way to wrap up the season! He brought l dioramas to play around with and reminded us all that sometimes to move forward, a look back is helpful. Thanks Jason for an awesome night! @invisibleelement @workmoreorless

Here’s a little behind-the-scenes of this year’s @adctulsa Graphex trophies. Inspired by Route 66, built from steel, and finished with custom pinstriping. Can’t wait to celebrate this year’s best creative work with you on April 30 at the Tulsa City-County Library!

@adctulsa and I wrapped our last keynote of the season with animator/toy photographer @workmoreorless . If you grew up buying toys for the epic commercial dioramas and were personally devastated when your Batman figure showed up without the cityscape backdrop (yes, I cried) this one was for you! Jason not only gave us a unique look at what makes toys look so cool in commercials but even brought live dioramas for a hands-on experience. Some of his notable clients include Star Wars, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, ESPN and many more. Big thanks to everyone who came out and @heirloomrusticales for hosting our keynotes all season. We appreciate you supporting Tulsa‘s creative community! #adctulsa

SPONSOR SHOUTOUT! Hi. We’re The Pickup, a digital publication from This Land Press. We do subscriber-driven journalism for people curious about Tulsa. The Pickup covers arts and culture, food, public affairs, opinions and Tulsa lore with a critical eye, local savvy and an irreverent point of view. We write to spark dialogue, pose provocative questions, push back against apathy and offer ways for readers to become more connected to Tulsa. In the tradition of This Land, we offer alternatives to mainstream narratives and on-the-ground perspectives on why this city is the way it is—and what might make it better for more people. The Pickup relies on subscriptions from readers like you to produce independent journalism about what happens here and why it matters, written by people who know and care about this city.

Big thanks to @thebendmercantile for hosting our final ShopTalk of the season! We learned about owner @krist_in_stagram background not just in retail but also graphic design along with how she built The Bend Mercantile from the ground up. We even got a firsthand look at her upcoming project we can’t wait for her to share with Tulsa 😉. #shoplocal #tulsa #thebendmercantile

The Bend Mercantile is where everyday goods, community, and storytelling meet. Located in a building rich with Tulsa film history, The Bend draws its name from the iconic plaque honoring The Outsiders and Rumblefish, stories rooted deeply in the city’s creative legacy. This Shop Talk stop invites attendees to explore how The Bend curates goods with intention, balancing practical bodega staples with unexpected finds for everyday living. You will hear how their commitment to community connection, ethical sourcing, reasonable pricing, and curiosity shapes both their shelves and their customer experience. Shop Talk events are relaxed, welcoming, and designed for conversation. Join us to tour the space, learn from a local business built on story and craft, and connect with other creatives along the way. This event is free and open to the public, no ticket required.
