The 3rd and final bathroom in this mid-century home was a basement bathroom that felt like...a basement bathroom. A small shower stall and tiny vanity were technically functional but not particularly appealing. The shower was expanded and tiled in a soothing green. The vanity was relocated and expanded to add some useful storage. The bath is now part of a very welcoming basement guest suite. Photos: @meaganlarsen

Since the existing hall bath in this home was repurposed to create a larger primary bath, a new home was needed for a hall/ guest bath. Two bedrooms and closets were reconfigured to make room for a guest bath that feels like it has always been there! Photos: @meaganlarsen

This mid-century home in Lake Oswego, OR had great bones but the primary bathroom was tiny and uninspiring (and really, really bright yellow). The homeowners wanted a double vanity, a walk in shower and (if possible) a sauna. An adjacent hall bath was combined with the existing primary bath to almost double the footprint to fit all the essentials and a just big enough for 2 sauna! Don't worry, the hall bath got a new home elsewhere in the house. Natural wood, a terra cotta floor and textured wall tile came together to create a warm and inviting space, perfect for unwinding after a long day. Photos: @meaganlarsen

This guest bath needed a functional, aesthetic and reputation overhaul after being the source of the disastrous plumbing leak. We chose to eliminate the bathtub in favor of a generous walk in shower that takes advantage of the sloped dormer space. Fresh materials and plenty of storage turned it into a very functional and pleasant guest space. Contributors: Photos @meaganlarsen Contractor: @casabonita.llc Cabinets: @interioralchemystudio @bauformatpnw Floor tile: @bedrosianstile

I am probably not supposed to choose favorites but this bathroom is one of my favorites. Creating a generous primary suite with features to make sure it continues to be safe and usable as the homeowners age was a big priority in this design. The bedroom and bathroom were moved to create more space and many safety and accessibility features were added without taking away from the aesthetic. Features include: • Large "wet room" style walk in shower with large door and no threshold • Wall mount toilet with integrated bidet • Contemporary, easy to clean materials in a soothing, spa-like palette • Custom built in wardrobe Contributors: Photos @meaganlarsen Contractor @casabonita.llc Cabinets @interioralchemystudio @bauformatpnw Fixtures @deltafaucet @totousa @victoria_albert_baths Closet @caclosets

As it is in many homes, the kitchen was the heart of this home. The homeowners love to cook and wanted a very functional kitchen with room for their family and guests to gather. Clean lined European cabinets combined with rustic hickory flooring tie together their contemporary aesthetic with rural setting. Features in this kitchen include: • Expanded kitchen window • Added french doors for access to the deck • New built in pantry • Low profile induction cooktop and flush ceiling mount hood • Custom lighting around island Contributors: Photos @meaganlarsen Contractor @casabonita.llc Cabinets @interioralchemystudio @bauformatpnw Tile @fireclaytile

When we first saw this home it had been completely gutted due to a catastrophic plumbing leak. While not the ideal reason to remodel your home, the homeowners chose to see opportunity in disaster and reached out to us to help them make changes to the home to make it work better for the way they live and more in line with their aesthetic preferences. Changes included: • Full reconfiguration of the main floor to create a larger kitchen and primary suite • Centerpiece open staircase with lighted stair treads • Cozy living room with a contemporary wood stove and custom wrap around bench/ storage • A clean and contemporary aesthetic but with lots of natural wood elements to add warmth and connect to the rural, mountain setting Contributors: Photos: @meaganlarsen Contractor: @casabonita.llc Stairs: @viewrail Cabinets: @interioralchemystudio @bauformatpnw

We are out of the office for spring break this week! In the spirit of soaking up some springtime sun please enjoy this mood board from designer @morgann.bass for a South Beach inspired home bar! South Beach is home to the world’s largest collection of Art Deco architecture, and the Beacon Hotel, built in 1937, is a perfect example of that. It isn't just architecture; it’s an entire mood. I'm soaking up all the Tropical Deco inspiration today, thinking about Rum runners and mojitos with friends! Products included in this look: Reef Collection breeze blocks - @Wowtile Slab - @cambriasurfaces Clifton Paint- @benjaminmoore Antique Coral Floor tile- @zia_tile  Constellation Terra Cotta + Ballet Slipper

Known for their high quality, design forward appliances this display was designed to showcase the unique, luxury offerings from Monogram Appliances. Centered around a stunning brass hood the rest of the display utilizes neutral colors and interesting textures to give a high end feel while keeping the emphasis on the appliances. The relaxing sitting area in this display is one of our favorite features in the entire showroom! Photos: @kaylamckenziephoto Cabinets: @hertco.kitchens Countertops: @cosentinousa Tile: @zcollection.usa
