Excited to be welcoming @korrie.p to bring his sound and creative vision onto my show on Saturday. Korrie’s art and photography struck me as deeply rooted in culture, with his latest project “Cee’s Pickney” being a reflection of his upbringing within the Jamaican diaspora.
We’ll be playing roots reggae, dub and dancehall on a mixture of vinyl and digital while talking about the music and philosophy that influenced the project.
Get locked in Saturday 12:00-14:00 on @aajamusic or keep an eye out for the upload 🔊
Turkey has one of the most distinctive soundscapes I’ve ever come across, from the bustling markets and ferry ports to the multiple calls to prayer every day. I’ve been chipping away working on this recap video to accompany a sound library I’m working on. There was too much to fit in one video so stay tuned for part 2!
New Work | No Mercy ✨
Adam and Jim had the pleasure of doing the sound design & music for this hand drawn animated short film, No Mercy, inspired by the stories of night workers and the emotional effects the job entails. Directed by the incredibly talented Emma Zafirovska.
Thank you for having us on board.

Taking a moment to appreciate some of the stills taken from The Public, a short film I’ve recently wrapped up doing the sound design and mix for. Set in the mid naughties set at a gig and after, the crew used a 00s era cinema camera for a grungy look which was brought to life by an amazing cast. It features some of the best tracks ive had the pleasure of working with, mixing the band into 5.1 with a full crowd (mostly recorded bespoke in the studio with whoever I could wrangle into the booth) really took this to the next level. Can’t wait to see this on an even bigger screen (!) and share this with the world soon, keep posted!

I’m always looking for the perfect “quiet”. Sometimes a huge, old space can have a distinctive sound that feels thick without being loud. The sound of church bells has a primal subconscious effect, deeply rooted in tradition and a sense of community, I’ve found that it can be an effective storytelling device when used in a sound mix.
I had no idea how interesting Canterbury Cathedral was, there’s a kings tomb and catacombs over 1200 years old - well worth a visit!
