In 2023, we began documenting something extraordinary and powerful. A story rooted in purpose, resilience, and impact. This is a documentary about one of the most influential women’s basketball leagues in the world. What began in Compton sparked a movement that shaped its community into a global standard. This film traces the league’s origins, honors its legacy, and looks fearlessly toward its future. Bridging generations, cultures, and eras through the game that so many love. This is more than basketball. It is history in motion. In honor of what T-Ware built, and everyone who carried it forward, there is only one thing to remember: Stay True.

This weekend was LIFE CHANGING. On behalf of myself and my new fiancé @creativelycreative.interiors — wait, let me say that part again — on behalf of myself and my NEW FIANCÉ — oh yes that felt good — we want to thank each and every one of you for your love and congratulations. I dreamed of this moment. I fantasized about this moment. At times, I didn’t think I would get to this moment but God held us both by the hand and led us to each other. We met on December 22, 2020 and now WE’RE ENGAGED!!! THANK YOU GOD FOR GETTING ME THROUGH ALL OF THIS. Thank you to Tammie at @zalesjewelers in Ontario Mills. Thank you to John and Second Story for hosting our celebration. Thank you to her best friends for assisting me with the surprise proposal. Thank you to our family and friends who were with us. We couldn’t invite everyone but we will be together for a lifetime (Lord’s will) and we will celebrate with everyone. Love you all! Now it’s time to start planning the wedding!

This is a cold shot for two reasons… 1. It showcases @terrywaynethe2 in his element. In his zone. This man is extremely talented. 2. It also showcases the physical set. I was blessed to work with my wife @creativelycreative.interiors who served as my Art Director/Set Designer. She led a team of PAs that painted over 30 feet of wall blocks and set up everything in the right way to help tell this wonderful story. @thatslifefilmproject is even more special because of it! 📸 by @nretrospect_

That’s Life started off as a way to bring myself emotional closure after questioning if my grandfather was proud of me. Today, I feel like I accomplished more than that. I got to honor my grandfather in a way that felt special to me. Thank you to my entire cast and crew for helping me bring @thatslifefilmproject to life. The Avengers, The Justice League, The Showtime Lakers nor The 2013 Miami Heat can touch my team! We came together. We planned intentionally. We executed with precision and we had so much fun. THAT’S LIFE HIDDEN GEMS: Joseph Henderson is named after both of my grandfathers middle names (Walter Joseph and Wheeler Henderson) Serenity’s last name is the first name of my mom’s father (Walter). Frank Henderson is named to honor my grandfather’s love for Frank Sinatra. Vida Louise is my intentional reminder that I have one grandparent still living and she is my best friend. (Louise Taylor). I also pay respects to some special friends Derrick Barrett, @mrsamsarpong , @khlphotography and @missjoeyjojo95 - people who believed in me 1000%. I recently wrapped directing my first play and stepped into a new project alongside my husband, @actknowledgeit .
