(Meet inside Civic Center at 1:00 P.M. for updates) Calling all musicians, artists, actors, filmmakers, dancers, and anyone effected by these budget cuts, to come stand up for your craft! We couldn't believe how many of you showed up throughout the week - last week - to demand an end to Flock ALPR Surveillance, and to oppose @mayortoddgloria 's proposed budget cuts for the Arts, Public Parks, Libraries, and Homeless Shelters! ❤️💐🪧🎵🎭🎨📽️ We were even more shocked to see how many people showed up to the Privacy Advisory Board, several days earlier, to oppose Flock, and persuade the P.A.B. that Flock should NOT be recommended, UNTIL it is in compliance with established rules and safety protocols. (We wish they had gone further, but this was still a small victory) Did you know civil lawsuits against SDPD for negligence, murrd3r and police brutality have resulted in settlements costing us taxpayers approximately $41.7 Million !? (Thank you @sdfamilies4justice for the infographics) - That's 1/3 of our Budget Deficit! + Why should an unaccountable, undisciplined pol!ce force, that has increasing pol!ce brutality rates every year in the Gaslamp District (since 2021) deserve our trust with a privacy destroying technology? Our Privacy is an afterthought for these City Council members, who see their own safety as paramount, over the public's privacy. City Council needs to be reminded that "Scared Money don't make Money," cause they're acting like a bunch of scared little B*tches, who can't protect themselves without SDPD's help, and they're TOO SCARED to cut SDPD's over-bloated budget. & @marni_von_wilpert + @cmraulcampillo don't believe in cutting it, AT ALL. In fact, today, (5/8/26) during SDPD's budget hearing, they're actively CHEERLEADING for SDPD...Marni was crying crocodile-tears over the "sacrifice" of fallen officers, reading their stories behind a screen... She's running for Congress. 🤮 Campillo doesn't care about all of your Privacy concerns with Flock, he thinks a less than 1% efficacy rate is an acceptable rate of crime prevention, worthy of your total loss of location privacy... He's running for Mayor. 🖕🏼 We still need members of the public to call-in RIGHT NOW, or show up, in-person, to remind City Council: IF YOU'RE SCARED, GO TO CHURCH, DON'T OVER-FUND SDPD. NOT AT THE EXPENSE OF THE ART THAT MAKES LIFE WORTH LIVING.

4/28/26 - Imperial Valley County Board of Supervisors Meeting to discuss our opposition to: The A.I. Data Center To ask an essential question missing from the context of a justification centered around the creation of more jobs: Why are Humans prioritizing A.I. growth at the doom of their own obsolescence? Is it for M🤑NEY ? P💰WER ? Is it for the love of convenience? Or laziness? ...What profits that Human who would gain the world, to loose their soul? *The 📽️ lags & auto-pauses at a couple key moments, give it a couple seconds* (idk what happened) Last week I had the privilege of re-joining @nimby_imperial + @mtsignalmedia + @victoriahomes_iv + @valleimperialresiste & 40+ brave locals in the continued battle against the largest proposed A.I. Data Center in California. The difference in the energy within that same room, between those two meetings on 4/8 and later on 4/28 was palpable. ^ The people weren't denied their seat at the table. The people weren't forced to wait outside, in the heat, so that paid, out-of-town "union workers" could provide visual justification for the immoral vote in support of environmental destruction, for the sake of a few jobs. What good is your job, your economy, your business - if it contributes to Earths destruction? Or to the misery and the enslavement of others? #imperialvalley #nodatacenters #nimby

Grateful to @kellykicksies for helping spread the word about the ongoing abuses at the Otay Mesa Concentration Camp, where detainees are being routinely starved, beaten, graped, and squeezed for every penny. Imagine being charged for clean napkins... 😱 ...Imagine being charged for toilet paper. 😡 IMAGINE : being unable to afford to call your family, or lawyer, because a minute(s) long phone call costs over $25, which is more than some monthly phone plans! 🤬 I had the privilege of meeting @kellykicksies last weekend, during the "Feminism V.S. Fascism" Comedy show, at @thecomedyresistance - thanks to the invitation from Comrade @francesyasmeen - whom is running for Congress (D52) ! Kelly is doing phenomenal work touring the U.S. and interviewing act!v!sts from different places and sectors, across all walks of life, her page is like a biography of American consciousness, I recommend giving her a follow! & I want to remind all of my friends that their donations to @sdbikebrigrade + @omdcollective17 + @borderlandsequity are saving lives. Every dollar donated is one more minute a detainee has to speak with their loved ones. These organizations meet EVERY Sunday, at the Otay Mesa Concentration Camp, from 1:30 - 3:30 P.M. ^ They'll be there today. "Shake the Walls" was last weekend, but I'm upgrading my P.A. so we can Shake those Walls 🧱 more regularly. 🎵

4/30/26 - Privacy Advisory Board Meeting on: Flock ALPR, Smart Streetlights, and surveillance technology Extremely disappointed by the cowardice of (most) of the Privacy Advisory Board members on display at City Council last night. I don't know where to begin with what bothered me the most, perhaps it was their: 1.) Callous disregard for our Privacy. 2.) Lack of concern for the propensity of misuse of this technology. 3.) Inability to serve the public by reading the room. 4.) Their arrogance in thinking they're more informed about this technology, than the 100+ organizations and concerned constituents who opposed it, and are actively - loosing sleep over it's incessant abuses and scandals. 5.) Their willingness to put their own perception of Safety, over the public's preference to NOT live under national surveillance, in a Big-Brother Police State. I want to thank our Comrades in @sandiegotrust for their diligent vigilance, and all the work they're doing to keep an eye on the unregulated spy apparatus that is Flock! I want to thank my Comrades @holly_wizzle & @gwensoledad from @deflocksd for showing up last night! S/O to Holly for seeding me an extra minute to speak! Big Ups to: @sclu.sd for showing up en masse yesterday to oppose Flock, and the surveillance state! My apologies for interrupting - to my Comrades who suffered in silence throughout the 3+ hours of deliberation that ensued. I didn't mean to disrespect the process, or make our organizations look bad. I lost my cool, and that's not cool...Old, tone-deaf, white men playing God, with irresponsible, uncontrollable technology, making decisions that deeply effect the lives of others, more than their own, simping over Flock was more rage bait than I could handle yesterday.
