Thank you to Veterans for Peace-San Diego Chapter for hosting the 29th week of our continuous Otay Mesa Sunday Vigil! We are beyond blessed to be surrounded by community that are committed and passionate about shutting Otay Mesa’s concentration camp down! Over 16,000+ human beings have been abducted, disappeared and deported by I.C.E. since January 20th of last year. #OtayMesaVigil #ShutItDown #AbolishICE #NoEstanSolos

Happy Mother’s Day to all the Mothers out there, heavenly Moms, Step-Moms, Mom figures and those who have loved and cherish us as their own. This Otay Mesa Sunday Vigil, we dedicate to all the courageous Moms who continue to be detained, disappeared and deported by I.C.E. We also dedicate this day to all the incredible Moms suffering from U.S. Intervention whether they be in Gaza, Iran, Lebanon, Afghanistan, Somalia, Iraq, Yemen, Syria, Nigeria, Venezuela and those that continually face unrest as a result of the U.S. Imperial Settler Colonial Project. We must all remember that, from it’s inception in the U.S., Mother’s Day has always been an anti-war action and the refusal to send even more children to their deaths, whether they are from here or abroad. Thank you to the @friendshipparkusmx @elfaroborderchurch @clements_photography_photos for hosting today and we are thankful to be in community with you. #OtayMesaVigil #ShutItDown #ConcentrationCamps

Thank you very much to this artist and her kind parents for this absolute spectacular gift of sharing her harpist talents this Mother’s Day. She is brilliant, compassionate and the youngest performer we have had at our Otay Vigil, to date. This Mother’s Day, 28 phenomenal weeks into our continuous Sunday Vigil, this day also coincides with Mexican Mother’s Day, which is always celebrated on May 10th. The piece she selected to share with us first is also composed by a Spanish-speaking composer. The whole of the earth is inhabited by Mothers and their children and without them we wouldn’t even be here. Mothers being held hostage in Otay Mesa or Imperial Valley Detention Center or anywhere across this country, deserve to be free! #OtayMesaVigil #ShitItDown #ConcentrationCamps

Come celebrate Mother’s Day with our Otay Mesa Collective this Sunday! No mother should be separated from her children; they have the right to stay together. This Mother’s Day, let us recognize mothers in detention who are separated from their children. Show your support by presenting a yellow flower as a symbol of solidarity. Let us remember that U.S. detention facilities are housing individuals who are separated from their families this Mother’s Day. It is important to acknowledge their pain and suffering. Bring a Friend! ❤️🪉🎶💫 #AbolishICE #NoEstanSolas

Beautiful afternoon outside of a place of such pain and anguish and injustice. Didn't make it? Help us reach our goal of $5000 so hostages inside OMDC can call their loved ones, get menstrual products (not freely available even though they're supposed to be!) and bottled water!
