We’ve officially kicked off bulk earthworks on our latest commercial project and it’s no small start. Massive cuts, fills, and up to 4m high retaining walls are already taking shape as we transform the site from the ground up.
This one’s set to become a premium retail showroom + mechanic workshop, soon to be home to some exciting national tenants!

A seamless transition into a contemporary pavilion for modern living 💡
Twelve Degree House is a considered reinterpretation of the classic home alteration and extension. Slightly rotated off the existing grid, the design reorients the home’s central axis toward northern sunlight while stepping away from the boundary to open up deeper, angled views across the landscape.
A continuous double-sided joinery wall runs through the interior, subtly separating public and private areas while providing storage and functionality within a compact footprint.
During the renovation, careful excavation uncovered layers of the home’s past, revealing art deco details within the original 1890s stone cottage. From this historic core, the house transitions effortlessly into a contemporary pavilion designed for modern living.
Lighting contributes quietly yet meaningfully to the atmosphere. A Tenn Up Pendant forms a focal point above the kitchen, offering clear task lighting while its uplight adds a soft ambient glow.
At the entrance, Fold Wall Lights by Nordlux introduce a warm, sculptural presence. In the bathrooms, Pluto Wall Lights are paired with discreet strip lighting that highlights the tiled surfaces and softly illuminates the vanity.
Throughout the living areas, Ion R Downlights by Unios deliver subtle, gallery-style lighting, allowing both the artwork and the architecture to remain the focus.

Looking back at this standout project from August 2024! It’s been nearly a year and a half since we completed this comprehensive installation in the beautiful suburb of Prospect, and it remains a perfect example of how the right system can transform a home.

~ Repositioning the traditional Alteration and Addition ~
Twelve Degree House looks to re-interpret the much-loved alteration & addition spatial layout, pivoting off grid, contorting the original spine towards the northern light and pressing away from the boundary to embrace deeper diagonal views into the landscape.
A continuous double-sided joinery piece responds directly to the adjacent program whilst creating a buffer between public and private realms. This intervention unlocks greatly improved amenity with minimum footprint.
Through considered intervention and excavation the layered history of the site is revealed, shining a light on the recent art deco features embedded in the 1890s stone cottage. The addition provides a seamless transition into the new pavilion that supports contemporary living.
