Big things happening in Totness, SA.
We’ve officially kicked off bulk earthworks on our latest commercial project and it’s no small start. Massive cuts, fills, and up to 4m high retaining walls are already taking shape as we transform the site from the ground up.
This one’s set to become a premium retail showroom + mechanic workshop, soon to be home to some exciting national tenants!

Back on site in Direk with the first of our industrial projects for 2026. Structural Steel efficiently designed, expertly installed. To align with the our request for materials that self-perform, SMFA proposed a palette of steel and aluminium, delivering both architectural impact and construction efficiency. The site has also been strategically planned to support future development opportunities, whether expanding the industrial offer or transitioning into commercial uses over time.
This project is set to become a real standout for the area, offering a mixed-use medical centre along with a variety of commercial tenancies, and we can’t wait to share more as it progresses!

Direk #301 – Project Update
Works have continued to progress steadily throughout October and November as we move into our final push toward handover later this year.
This month has seen strong contributions across the site, with floor polishing, stair and balustrade installations, aluminium partitions, joinery, and all second-fix trades advancing well.
In parallel, tenant works have also made significant strides. The installation of two of six overhead cranes is well underway, alongside the setup of steel processing and laser-cutting machinery. In-floor services, including underfloor welding gas lines and power outlets, are progressing smoothly and forming the backbone of the tenant’s operational requirements.
I look forward to sharing our next update, which will be a fully operational Structural Steel Fabrication factory and modern office for over 70 employees. Stay Tuned!

Winding back to our recently completed Industrial Office & Warehouse project in Direk.
Featuring 1,500m² of clear-span warehouse space, 200m² of open-plan office, and generous hardstand areas this development was designed with functionality in mind.
The pre-lease brief called for an overhead crane and an enclosed external wash bay, purpose-built to support the heavy machinery industry.

Project Update: Payneham
With the footings and ground floor slab now complete, significant progress has been made on the Payneham project. The installation of precast panels has been successfully completed, paving the way for the structural steel installation to be finalised by the end of the month.
Looking ahead, November is shaping up to be a major month for concrete works, including the installation of all bondek flooring and the central staircase.
