This is not a Eurovision entry. It is a song from Gaza, where people sing despite Israel's ongoing genocide, illegal occupation, siege, and destruction of Palestinian cultural heritage. A voice representing hope, resilience and fundamental human rights. Vote by amplification over selection. Your vote is cast by sharing. #VoteJustice4Palestine ‘The Drone Song’, performed by Ahmed Abu Amsha and Gaza Birds Singing, is based on the work Libre Palestina, copyright: Zaid Hilal. @ahmedmuin_abuamsha @gazabirdssinging

Periods shouldn’t put your health at risk. But in the UK, period injustice is forcing people to make impossible choices. Our new YouGov poll found 1 in 10 people who menstruate struggled to afford period products in the last year. With the cost of living still high, people are being forced to prioritise: – 40% said they chose gas or electricity – 4% chose food …over period care. And the impact is real: – 36% wore products for longer than recommended – 27% used tissues or cotton wool – 6% used paper or newspaper This is why we can’t stop talking about periods. And almost a quarter (22%) stayed home because they couldn’t afford products. No one should have to risk their health or withdraw from public life because they’re on their period. While this poll focuses on the UK, period poverty is global, affecting women and girls in communities ActionAid works alongside every day. That’s why ActionAid has teamed up with WUKA to demand period justice. Together, we’re working towards a world where menstruation is treated with dignity and equality. This week, we are amplifying Palestinian voices, collectively showing our solidarity with Palestine and call for a Europe that does not normalise war crimes, and stands for justice, solidarity and human rights. Our Euro Vision is solidarity. It’s human rights. It’s justice . Needa is a member of Social Developmental Forum @sdf.pal in Gaza that ActionAid works alongside. "Hi, it is Needa, a young Palestinian from Gaza. Today, it's not only about awareness, it is about action. Today, I speak up because it's my right, and my land, and my voice. And you need to speak up because you need to support us to matter and to change the code. " Please share Needa's story.

This week while Europe celebrates music, unity and solidarity, our Euro Vision is justice for Palestine. Maram is a member of Social Developmental Forum- SDF in Gaza that ActionAid works alongside. "Hello, my name is Maram. Everyone here thinks that we're heroes, but in reality, everything was forced on us. We were forced to live through all of that every single day. Thank God we're still alive. But one message that I want to share with you is that we want you to keep standing by our side. We're still bleeding every day, not because the ceasefire started, that our struggle has ended, it's just the beginning and we're still struggling every day. " The genocide keeps unfolding and more than 2 million people in Gaza are displaced with no access to water, food and healthcare. In the West Bank settler violence keeps escalating. We have been raising our voices in solidarity with Palestine. Please share Maram's story. @sdf.pal

Most of us try to do the best to save the planet. Meanwhile, some of the world's biggest banks are quietly funding the industries destroying the planet with our savings, our pensions, our accounts. You did not make that choice. But you can demand it changes. Sign the Manifesto by clicking the link on our bio.

"Communities like ours should not be paying for the costs of a crisis we did not create." HSBC are financing devastating climate damage around the world. Today, we’ll be outside their Annual General Meeting to make sure the voices of those impacted by the climate crisis are heard. Our banks will keep choosing profits above people and planet unless we stop them. Tell the UK Government to act now, sign our petition. Together, we can do this. Tap the link in bio for more.

The humanitarian situation in Gaza is deteriorating, with critically inadequate WASH conditions and four in every five sewage pumping stations not functioning. As a result every day about 40,000 cubic metres of untreated sewage are flowing into the sea and areas where families are staying. Food and water contamination has increased, and rodent infestations are spreading in displacement camps. Restrictions on the entry of essential items like generators and spare parts must be lifted so that water can be properly pumped and prevent the further collapse of these systems. Without immediate and sustained support, the situation risks escalating into a major public health emergency. Tap the link in bio to find out more.

One month since the Israeli parliament passed death penalty legislation that is discriminatory by design and violates international law, nothing has changed. Eleven humanitarian, human rights, and environmental justice organisations are united in calling on the UK government to act urgently and concretely before it's too late. This discriminatory law must be repealed. Read the full statement on our LinkedIn. Massive congratulations to all of the amazing runners who completed the @londonmarathon last weekend and everyone that raised a huge amount of money for @actionaiduk Only a year ago I ran the London Marathon for Team ActionAid and supporting the runners on Sunday brought back a lot of emotions - there is something remarkable in discovering who you become at the very end of extreme effort... I've been a supporter of Team ActionAid for many years - helping to raise awareness of their campaigns and fundraising appeals - so running the London marathon for them felt like a natural step. Feeling inspired? Take on London Marathon 2027 and run for change! You can read my blog about my London Marathon experience and fill out the application form to secure one of the limited ActionAid UK charity places and help support women and girls to create lasting change. A story about how ActionAid and WUKA came together. "ActionAid has been working in Nepal, where I grew up, for many years. They have been part of the movement challenging practices like Chhaupadi and working to end period stigma and exclusion. I have seen the impact of that work growing up. To now be in the UK, building WUKA, and collaborating with an organisation that was part of that journey… it feels like a full circle moment. Over the next few months, if you order from us, you will start to see more about ActionAid and the incredible work they are doing in the UK and globally to support girls and tackle period poverty." - Ruby Raut, Founder and CEO of WUKA. Read her story in our blog today. Link in bio.
