🌟 Reflecting on an incredible experience at @eventnoirehq 2024 Curator Summit🌟
It was an absolute honor to speak on the “Content is King: The Influence of Digital Content and Creative on Brand Awareness and Sales” panel alongside @imrossmac@tahitian_treat@ohmyletto , @codymackkk of @whatsthewordtv & @radiochamp !
We shared insights on how intentional, impactful digital content can shape brand stories, build community, and scale your business to drive results in powerful ways.
Much love to @jeffrosuji@itsisras and the full Eventnoire team for the opportunity to contribute to these conversations and to connect with so many brilliant creators, brand leaders, and innovators. Always a pleasure to foster a space that celebrates the transformative power of connecting to your audience and bottom line most authentically and strategically.
🥂Here’s to building into 2025 … preferably over THE best espresso martinis in Chicago thanks to @blvdchicago ✨
Word to the bestie @djxo313 on the 🎥
p.s. I def need to work on my RBF especially while on stage😩 I swear I had a time😅😂
Back in 2003 when my birthday twin #Beyoncé first went solo. I was 16 years old working as a music reviewer for The Daily Herald Newspaper. So naturally this happened. A time when bylines were earned. #beyhive
🥹First time speaking at TalentMasters’ Morning Show Boot Camp was a 𝕔𝕠𝕞𝕡𝕝𝕖𝕥𝕖 success🪄
Even received a standing ovation ♥️=🔋

A working mom is a redundant phrase isn’t it?
Motherhood, where “take your kid to work day” could’ve easily been (and often was) a floating holiday as reflected in many of these photos.
Whoever said you can’t pour from an empty cup never took the time to fully see a Mom. Though I still wouldn’t recommend it for long.
This Mother’s Day felt especially complete this year as it’s the first where both of my daughters are adults now, and somehow that makes every exhausting, beautiful, chaotic moment of survival feel visible all at once.
Happy Mother’s Day to the women who gave everything — and somehow still found more to give💛
Honored to share that Stepping Into The Shade Room is officially a 2x Webby Award Winner 🏆🏆
Out of 13,000+ entries from 70+ countries, and millions of votes cast, this recognition places our work among the top 4% globally.
Our winning episode, “Surviving Epstein: Lisa Phillips Opens Up About Grooming, Power, and Speaking Her Truth,” was more than an interview. It was a moment rooted in truth, courage, and impact.
The response was powerful, with millions reached, watched, and engaged.
Grateful to @iamlisaphillips for trusting us with her story, and to an incredible team who continues to show up with purpose and intention daily.
This one means a lot.
After 23 years of raising my daughters into adulthood as my youngest just turned 18 years old—and closing out Women’s History Month—I’m celebrating me. Word to @snoopdogg 😂
Sixteen years ago today, I packed up my car and “moved” to Detroit to start my first full-time media job as Online Editor at Radio One Detroit… on April Fools’ Day, no less (which feels pretty poetic after 20+ years in media 😂).
I had never been to Detroit. Didn’t know a soul. But something told me if I could make it in the D, I could make it anywhere.
So I did—even when that meant starting out homeless and sleeping in my car. Shoutout to @planetfitness and that $10 “no frills” membership for keeping me showered.
Word to Unc, who did maintenance at the station. He never told on me when I got a little too comfortable and started sleeping in the lobby (see slide 2). Fun fact: he’s also the legend who let @therealpaigion —then on the street team—sneak into the studio overnight and go live on air. He really saw the vision on both fronts.
The grind was real. But looking back, I see I wasn’t just building a career. I was blessed to be building a community that became family… and raising two incredible humans along the way.
Nevaeh, who graduated high school a year early. Nya, graduating from THE University of Chicago this summer and heading to med school — I DID THAT‼️
And with that, here’s to her—to me—and to this next chapter as I hang up my “single mom” hat and to every woman still in the middle of her story… and to the ones who help us make HERstory along the way💫
Happy Women’s History Month 💛
