Mike’s stunning R34 GTR is back in for some serious Haltech upgrades, including an Elite 2500 ECU, IC7 and UC10 dashes, a Hypertune inlet manifold, 12 of our very own ACS 1000cc injectors, plus a Bosch E-throttle and PRP pedal kit. Mike’s always wanted a responsive road car that’s just as happy cruising the streets as it is putting down serious power, and this setup delivers exactly that. We’ve looked after the car since 2016, previously building the engine and carrying out the R35 brake conversion kit. 💥 GR6 Valve Body Strip & Clean 💥 We’ve been flat-out in the workshop lately and almost forgot to update you all — so here’s a behind-the-scenes look at what goes into a proper GR6 valve body clean. 👇 🔧 First, the valve body is removed from the car and carefully inspected for any damage. Shift pistons and filters are checked to ensure everything is functioning as it should. 🔧 Next, the valve body is fully disassembled down to its individual components for a deeper inspection, making sure all seals and parts are in good working order. 🧼 All components are then washed in our hot wash, and solenoids go through our jet blast system for a thorough, high-pressure clean. 🛠️ Reassembly is completed using @dodsonmotorsport micro filters, a fresh pan filter, and an inline filter to ensure maximum reliability and performance. ACS Stage 1 – What’s Really Possible? There’s been some recent chatter in the tuning community questioning the power potential of a Stage 1 setup. Specifically, people are doubting what can be achieved with just an Y-Pipe, stock exhaust, and stock injectors. So, we decided to share a bit of insight and data from our side to help set the record straight. The results below were achieved on our Mainline Pro Hub Dyno, under controlled conditions, and yes – this is still considered a Stage 1 tune. But here’s the important part: ➡️ To reach these numbers, the stock injectors are pushed right to their limits. This means the ECU no longer has room to compensate or trim additional fuel – especially in colder weather, where denser air can tip the balance and potentially lead to lean conditions. That’s why, at AC Speedtech, we always recommend upgrading to our ACS 1200cc injectors to support the power reliably and safely, across all seasons. So yes – those Stage 1 numbers are possible. But only with the right conditions, the right tools, and most importantly, the right knowledge and safety standards behind the tune.
