A darkly comic two-hander built around repetition, resets, and the power to rewrite a shared reality.

What an incredible experience Youth Theatre 3’s Romeo and Juliet was!
The cast blew us away with their commitment and talent. The world they created was so fascinating and suited the story so well. A dystopian hellscape where warring families are torn apart and the young people are barely surviving. They brought the language to life fearlessly and we are so proud of each and everyone of the cast.
Big thanks to the creative team of Ash and David for leading the group through the rehearsal process and bringing such high production values.
Thanks to Aphra for her artistic skills with painting the set and customising and styling the costumes. It looked amazing.

Incredible feedback following our opening night last night. It really was a special night.
Our Youth Theatre leaders Ash and David have created a whole world for our Romeo and Juliet to exist in. And last night we opened our doors and a packed audience experienced it for the first time.
The cast smashed it and took the stage by storm proudly showing how dynamic and exciting Shakespeare is when performed. We are all so proud of them.
We get to do it one more time tonight and there are a few tickets left. If you are able to, do your best to come. This is unlike any other Youth Theatre.
Next up is Treasure Island and Orb of the Unknown as part of our Youth Theatre 2026 season.

Making theatre is what makes us tick and the best thing is making it in our own theatre, with an incredible team and inspiring young people. I can’t believe we’ve been able to do it for 10 years and we’re still going strong, in fact stronger than ever.

What an amazing 2 show day we had yesterday!
Talent Shack Multiverse brought together all our skills classes from across @the_shackstudio and the Shack.
Our Commercial, Street and MT Jazz groups and teams along with our Friday Musical Theatre groups and a selection of solo performers smashed their way through 2 sold out shows and we are so so proud!

Bit of a personal one — I’ve written a new play called Tea for Two.
I’m currently directing and producing it for an R&D performance at @porterscardiff Theatre, Cardiff on 3rd April.
We’re already half sold with three weeks to go, so if you’re thinking of coming, I’d recommend booking soon.
It’s the first piece I’ve fully written and brought to life, so it would mean a lot to have you there.
Delighted that award-winning composer @ashleymawalsh has created the original underscore for Tea for Two.
Ashley’s work spans Off West-End theatre and award-winning film scores, and his music underpins one of the key emotional shifts in the piece.
The score will feature in the R&D performance at @porterscardiff on 3rd April.
