We took a look at the exhibit “Sanctuaries of Fire” curated by our friend @dulcinaabreu The exhibit is accompanied by @radamiz spoken piece. We went to eat at congee village afterwards. I have so many talented friends in my life.
Artists Colin Chin and Nicholas Liem pull their work from MOCA. The museum’s board of director Jonathan Chu’s accepted a $35 million dollar bribe/ concession to build a new jail in NYC Chinatown. This is the artists’ statement against Chu’s decision to further the gentrification and destruction of the community.
