To open the evening, Afro-Australian journalist
@luke.marshin will be reading from
@rebelatlasmedia Vol. 1. This inaugural issue explores conflict zones, protest movements and fringe cultures, with a strong emphasis on character-led stories outside the Western media landscape.
Next,
@ackaram will be facilitating a screening and discussion of two Lebanese short films by
@marhaba_charbouli and by
@james.elazzi . These have been selected to contemplate how culture is practised and passed down in times of conflict, displacement and erasure.
