So ‘invasive’ species have to be 3 things:
1) not native
2) introduced [by humans, trades, etc]
3) destructive to their new environments
The case of Lionfish in Miami. Their presence and how we deal with them can be seen as a reflection of our own ways of handling ‘problems’ - socially just as much as ecologically. Still, I wonder if violence is the answer once we decide something is harmful to an ecosystem. One of the tastiest fish ever tho imo. Someone pls ask me more.
