I remember walking carefully through @thedesmoinestheater when it was basically wood beams, floating dust, rickety staircases, and pure vision. Now every time I visit, there’s something new to take in.
What @jeff_angell , @benjamin.m.anderson , and everyone involved are building is just incredible: a live music venue, recording studio, apartments, coffee shop, bar…all inside a historic space that now feels beautifully restored and completely alive.
I love how much of the building’s history still exists inside it. Old movie crates turned into a bar. Theater props mounted as art. Vintage film strips transformed into lighting. Everywhere you look, there’s some piece of the past woven into something new.
One of my favorite moments was when @davidcinnamon shared the history behind the beautiful Steinway he shipped across the country to find its home in The Killroom Studio.
Can’t wait to see this place full of people. The world needs more spaces like this.
As a social media strategist in the creative world, I’m constantly inspired by the people I meet.
It was an absolute pleasure getting to chat with @hiroyamamotobass . A legend, a kind soul, and a brilliant storyteller.
Grateful for these “office” perks. This one courtesy of @asmanyweirdosaspossible 💗

Ever since I first picked up a makeup brush, I’ve always had an audience.
Growing up, it was my little sister. We’d hang out in the bathroom, dancing to Tom Petty while I got ready to go out with friends. Atari does this every day 🥰
