New here? 👋
Welcome to Access! We’re a registered social mobility IPC charity in Singapore, creating mentorship and career exposure opportunities for youths who deserve a stronger start.
Stick around for big dreams, real impact, and exciting journeys ahead. Follow us to grow with us! ✨
Gen Zs are not “less hungry.”
They’re entering a world that feels harder to survive in, and even harder to break through.
Some are juggling school while worrying about bills at home.
Some never had access to tuition, networks, career guidance, or even the confidence that comes from being told “you belong here too.”
Yet they still show up.
Still study.
Still work part-time.
Still try.
At Access, we believe social mobility is not just about talent. It is also about access, exposure, support, and people who believe in you before the world does.
Because no young person should have to stop dreaming just because survival came first.
Gen Zs are not lazy.
They are exhausted, pressured, and trying to make it in a system that was never equally built for everyone.
And that’s exactly why support matters. 💙

In today’s Who We Are Wednesdays✨, meet Shanelle, our Projects Intern supporting our Access Fellowship Programme and Access Alumni Network!
Shanelle first joined us as a Facilitator for our events, and through that experience, discovered her passion for creating meaningful impact for youths. Wanting to contribute on a deeper level, she took the next step into project planning👩🏻💻, helping bring these events to life from behind the scenes.

Feeling damn lost about your future?
Same.
The job market right now is rough, and sometimes it feels like everyone else already knows what they are doing.
That is exactly why AFP exists.
The Access Fellowship Programme is a 6-week mentorship and career programme where you get to:
✨ Meet corporate mentors
✨ Connect with companies like LinkedIn, EY, Singapore Fashion Council & more
✨ Get real career advice
✨ Build your resume and portfolio
✨ Learn what employers are actually looking for
✨ Network with industry professionals
✨ Add AFP to your resume and LinkedIn
Most opportunities are not just about talent.
They are about access.
Access to mentors.
Access to networks.
Access to rooms you normally would never enter.
If you are an ITE, Polytechnic, or University student trying to figure things out, this programme was built for you.
Applications are now open. Link in bio to apply! ⬆️
It’s graduation season 🎓
And for many polytechnic graduates, the next step feels almost predetermined:
Get a degree. Even in the same field, they’ve already spent years studying.
But we rarely stop to ask why.
Sometimes, it’s not just about the pay gap.
It’s about choosing the path that feels safest. The one that doesn’t invite questions. The “acceptable” route.
But what if there was another way?
One built on real work, real mentorship, and a real salary from day one.
That’s what Access Apprenticeships was created for.
An 18-month pathway with established companies across hospitality, energy, audit, and community sectors, for youths who want to grow through hands-on experience and meaningful exposure.
It’s not for everyone.
But for the right person, it might just be the better path.
Applications for our current intake have closed, but we hope this sparks more conversations around alternative pathways and what success can look like beyond the conventional route.
On today's series of Who We Are Wednesdays, we have Kuan Ze, Access's Programmes Intern. His advice of 'trusting the process' hits close to home for many of us as more often than not, we find ourselves a little lost on whether we should keep trying or choose to pivot.
👉 What's your most memorable "trust the process" moment you've had? Let's inspire each other:
This Labour Day, we celebrate not just our incredible Access team behind the scenes (and on scene) of every event you see on our socials, but also all who are working tirelessly to uplift others and create opportunities every day. 💪✨
Wishing everyone a meaningful and well-deserved Labour Day!
Back in January, we wrapped up an inspiring career exploration session at the CPF Board, @cpf_board
In partnership with the @cpf_board team, students from St Andrew’s JC and Tampines Meridian JC got a firsthand look into the working world, starting with engaging CPF fundamentals sessions that made complex ideas easy to understand.
The day continued with an immersive office tour and small-group conversations, where professionals shared their real career journeys and what it’s like to be part of such an impactful organisation.
One of the highlights? A candid “real talk” fireside chat, filled with honest stories about challenges, growth, and lessons learned. Our students showed up curious and engaged, asking thoughtful questions before ending the day with a lively networking session 💬
We’re incredibly grateful to the CPFB team for their openness and generosity in mentoring our youth. Moments like these make a lasting impact, helping young people build confidence, connections, and clarity for their future 🚀
On today's series of Who We Are Wednesdays, we have Zhi An, Access's Programmes Executive, who's sharing about something memorable that she's experienced during her time spent with youths at our various programmes.
Her experience with a student taught her that valuable life takeaways don't just have to come from adults; sometimes it's the students that inspire us instead✨
Hush❤️Leaders | MOE LEMP (Senior Principals) 🌿
@moesingapore LEMP ended their one-week leadership course with Hush - not with another framework, but with a pause. Facilitated by @anthea.ong & @oodakwah
This closing Hush session offered senior principals a space to slow down, breathe, and integrate what the week has brought up - before returning to their schools and people. In the quiet, gratitude surfaced again and again: for the journey, for those who walk alongside them, and for the reminder that leadership isn’t only about doing more… it’s about being present.
A line that stayed with us: “I believe in you.”
Simple words - powerful weight.
With thanks to @helloflowerssg for the blooms that shaped the space with care, and Trampoline by @access.sgp for hosting us. 🤍

When we give all students the same chances, every student can succeed! 🌟
Education doesn’t just happen in classrooms. Through this partnership between Access Singapore, SHEIN, and South East CDC, we’re making sure every student - no matter where they come from - gets access to the same opportunities and real-world experiences that will shape their future.
When we level the playing field, we unlock each student’s full potential and give them a fair chance to compete and succeed based on their abilities. Proud to have made this Access Compass Programme partnership happen!
