Last month, American Ballet Theatre Education had an exciting morning during Children’s Museum of Manhattan’s annual break week! 🩰🪽
Participants “took flight” with ABT Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School Pre-Professional Division students during a demonstration of the seven movements of classical ballet and explored ballets that celebrate “birds,” such as SWAN LAKE, FIREBIRD, and the character “Bluebird” from THE SLEEPING BEAUTY. 🦢🐦🔥💙

On Saturday, June 27, join ABT Artistic Staff members and notable ABT alumni for a daylong immersive workshop designed to explore ONEGIN! Learn the history, movement, and characters of this classic production through an in-depth experience created for adults ages 20+!
Faculty include current #ABTPrincipal Thomas Forster, former ABT Soloist and former Boston Ballet Principal Erica Cornejo, and former ABT corps de ballet dancer Leann Underwood. The day includes ballet stretch and conditioning, a ballet technique class, and a repertoire workshop. The Masters Series package also includes a pre-performance talk with current @ABTOfficial Principal Dancer Calvin Royal III and an orchestra-level ticket for the evening performance at the Metropolitan Opera House!

Interested in training at the ABT Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School for the 2026-2027 school year?
In-person auditions for NEW Children’s Division students ages 7-12* will be held June 9 and 10 for Levels 1A through 3B. These levels are for students with previous ballet training. Class size is limited, and pre-registration is required.
For students age 3-7, Pre-Primary and Primary Levels require no prior dance experience and enrollment in each level is based solely on the child’s date of birth! Enrollment for Summer 2026 classes is now open and registration for the upcoming school year for new primary students will open on June 10, 2026 at 10:00 AM ET.
*For students ages 7-12 (students must turn 8 years old by December 1, 2026, and must remain 12 through December 1, 2026).
