It’s the question every serious listener asks before they audition.
Magico’s reputation rests on four engineering decisions. All of them deliberate. None of them fashionable.
The cabinet is sealed, not ported. Most loudspeakers vent their bass through a tuned hole. Magico doesn’t. The reward is bass with no overhang and no port resonance. Just taut, precisely-timed low frequencies that arrive exactly when the recording asks for them.
The enclosure is metal, not wood. Aluminium in the A and S Series. Aluminium braced with carbon fibre and aerospace-grade honeycomb in the M Series. The cabinet is engineered to behave like a measuring instrument: silent, inert, contributing nothing of its own to the sound.
