Clean run from AIWB 6.5ish COLD. It’s always good to check on some things while you’re cold. No dryfire draws. Just make ready and go.

E•A•R•N•E•D~Congratulations to the officers who completed the LEO Firearm Instructor class this past week. These officers spent six days physically and mentally preparing themselves for the task of taking on the firearms training of their PD. My hope is you never need the skills learned outside of the range setting. But should you or your officers need them, I pray I gave you something that helps. FLOORS•NOT•CEILINGS~Took the LO win and 4th overall of 81, behind Open Major. I shot what felt like the worst I’d shot ever. I was physically and mentally exhausted from teaching the last six days straight on the range. Basically every stage felt bad. Movement, executing stage plans, mechanics, it all felt off. A stage didn’t go by that I didn’t walk off and say I could have done that so much better. Yet somehow I pulled off the LO win and placed 4th overall. I was still able to capitalize even when my performance was not what I would have expected from myself. Floors not ceilings, if your bad day still places you on top you’re doing okay. NOW, time to go fix myself so it doesn’t happen again! Hats off to the person who said I wasn’t beating them from appendix 😘 be humble.
