Since coming back to Brisbane/Meanjin there’s been a rediscovery of what my home town has to offer and this phenomenal dance company, @australasiandancecollective has captured my heart and soul. 6 exquisite dancers and a superb team lead by @amyhollingsworth . I’m not bias because I’m on the board I’m on the board because I truly believe in this company. I have loved every performance I’ve seen. I love witnessing them work in the studio. Including the PPP, Youth Ensemble & Mature Aged Program.

I see there’s a 2016 trend. 2016 wasn’t one of my fave years. So last night before bed I looked back to 2006. It was a year of new beginnings. A highlight was the collaboration between @bangarradancetheatre and @ausballet . The first time I got to meet and work with not only amazing artists but grounded, beautiful people at the ballet alongside my Bangarra family. A high point in my career to be honest. I still felt like such a novice and no doubt still was. Here with Stephen and the ever so stunning @_danirowe_ , we’re creating the Oyster Girl segment from Amalgamate. I reflect back and think how I’d love another go at shows from the past having the knowledge I have now. 20 years on these two mighty companies are collaborating again! I hope I get to see the new show, it’ll be exquisite I’m sure.
