Ernesto Cabral de Luna (
@abrokeniris ) is a Mexican lens-based artist working with archival imagery and his own photographs to explore themes of diasporic identity, memory, absence and displacement. His work centers around altering perception through image manipulation, with a keen interest to challenge the notion of ownership over memories that are not oneâs own. /
Ernesto received his BFA in Photography from OCAD University in 2024, where he received the Barbara Astman Photography Award and Gallery44 Residency (
@g44photo ). He has created work for notable companies such as The Toronto Raptors, Coors Light, and Walmart Canada.
