PROJECT HIGHLIGHT | Plateau House is a collaboration with @hunter_office and @monokrom_design . A modern cliffside home shaped by its surroundings—forest, ravine, and southern views toward Stawamus Chief—with a softened boundary between interior and exterior. Lighting draws from the same natural references. In the living space, Muuto Strand pendants introduce a cloud-like presence within the double-height volume. Nearby, the Bocci 73.7 sculptural —mimics the fluid movement of the wind and waters flowing below. It was an honour to contribute to this project and see it come to light. We’re thrilled to introduce @handandeyestudio , a British lighting studio led by Thomas Housden and Alex Johnen, rooted in handmade craft and a deep respect for natural materials. At Hand & Eye, every piece is shaped by hand, with makers who share a commitment to quality that endures. Working with natural materials, raw clay, terracotta, pigmented porcelain and handmade glazes, whose colour and texture are unique to each piece. Innovation starts in the process. The A-Beam is the perfect example: a ceramic extrusion in terracotta, with a custom-designed profile built to integrate diffuser and form into one, creating a fixture that is as considered in its making as it is in its shape. PROJECT HIGHLIGHT | When @slocoffee_ opened its Downtown Vancouver location at CF Pacific Centre, the vision was to create a warm, intentional space amid the city's hustle and bustle. We connected with the team at @rsa.aw when they were searching for a lighting piece to anchor the bar. We explored a lighting solution to be modular - a composition that could follow the soft curves of the bar. The fixtures also needed to deliver diffused illumination with a warm colour temperature and smooth dimming to transition from bright daytime energy to a softer mood. Mamba by @martinelli_luce offered the perfect balance of sculptural presence and technical performance, allowing the light to flow above the bar while tying the whole space together. We're grateful to have contributed to a project where thoughtful design, aesthetics and functionality come together so seamlessly.
