Mounting + Framing;
🔹 Hot mounted the fibre-based prints to Rising board for a perfectly flat, archival finish.
🔹 Custom-wrapped the window mounts and backing board with hot-mounted fabric for a tactile, elevated texture.
🔹 Finished in a bespoke lime waxed oak frame, crafted in-house to meet the client’s specific vision.

These brushes belong to A.Bliss' history, bringing colour to maps and pigment to plans.
Presumably the hair on all brushes is horsehair. The hair of a horse is very durable and can hold paint for longer periods of time. It is also extremely smooth, meaning that you can apply paint with more control and consistency. String players have horse hair on their bows equally for a smooth sound and ability to maintain aural control in pressure.

It was an absolute pleasure working with Demi on these pieces. For this presentation, our team dry mounted her delicate, light-sensitive works onto raw 3mm aluminium, finishing them with custom hanging subframes and wall battens for a seamless installation.
Demi is a recent Graduate from the @royalcollegeofart in London. Her practice is a fascinating blend of the physics of painting and the chemistry of photography—transforming emulsion paper with salts and volatile solutions to create surfaces that feel like living skin. 🧪📸
The show, featuring Demi alongside Daniel Santangelo, explores themes of memory, spirituality, and the "tattoo" as a metaphor for how time and experience etch themselves onto a surface. It’s a stunning dialogue between two artists who treat surface as a site of rupture and repair.

We are thrilled to see Feiyi Wen’s stunning works installed for "The Garden and the Gaze" at @albionjeune . This exhibition, a dialogue between Wen and @xiaochi___ , explores the intersections of nature, perception, and cultural memory—and it was a privilege to frame these delicate pieces.
For Feiyi Wen’s work, we created custom solid walnut frames fitted with Artglass. The warmth and natural grain of the walnut perfectly complement her aesthetic, which bridges the gap between analogue photography and traditional East Asian landscape painting.
Wen’s process is fascinating—through repeated scanning and reprinting, she softens the photographic image until it echoes the texture of ink-wash painting. The result is "resonance over realism," a quiet, human-less space where nature breathes without spectacle. The Artglass ensures these subtle, painterly details and the delicate layered rice paper are viewed with absolute clarity and zero reflection.
"The Garden and the Gaze" runs until 31 January 2026. A beautiful show exploring impermanence and the "fusion of scene and emotion." Highly recommended.

It’s always a pleasure to work with our long-standing client @emilyallchurch , and her latest exhibition ‘A Distant Mirror’ is no exception. ✨
For this show, we had the pleasure of framing Emily’s complete Six Seasons series — her contemporary re-imagining of Bruegel’s 1565 Cycle of Seasons. Each piece is presented in solid oak, hand-stained box frames with matching oak backing and fillets, fitted with 92% UV anti-reflective art glass. Prints are mounted on Dibond for stability and longevity culminating in crisp, museum-grade presentation that complements the extraordinary detail in Emily’s work.
You can experience the full series alongside Martin Prothero’s Xenia still-life works at ‘A Distant Mirror’, showing now at @gbsfineart The exhibition runs until 24 January 2026 — plenty of time to plan a trip to the West Country!

The Missing Pieces revisits archival images of Aboriginal artefacts from Central Australia — once photographed without full context — and reconnects them to the Warlpiri communities of Yuendumu and Nyirripi. Through collaboration, the removed artefacts became apertures placed over new photographs of Warlpiri country, revealing fragments of the land and lives from which they came.
Each frame holds more than an image — it’s a dialogue between absence and presence, archive and community, loss and rediscovery.
We recently had the pleasure of framing these works, now showing at Paris Photo. Each 3D construction was mounted on conservation paper–lined aluminium backings, fixed securely, and housed in solid walnut box frames with bespoke fillets and UV art glass — a build designed to both protect and complement the layered depth of the work.

✨ A glimpse into our past at A.Bliss — these beautifully worn brushes once brought colour to maps and plans long before colour printing existed. Each one bears its own story: improvised grips, ink stains, and marks from countless hands over the years.
Our friend @katrinaastamatopoulos has been carefully documenting and photographing these unusual treasures, capturing their quiet artistry with a view to making them into an artwork in their own right. We can’t wait to see where her creativity takes them.
