It’s been a long journey. 🌍✨
When I acquired the Miss Grand Ghana franchise, I made a promise to Ghana that I would produce queens of international caliber, women who could stand tall on any stage in the world.
In 2020, when I became the first Black woman to win Miss Grand International, many said it was because I wore the sash of the United States of America. But it wasn’t the sash that won it was the dedication, the drive, and the passion that I poured into it. I brought that same fire home to Ghana to prove that you don’t need a powerful sash to make an impact you need heart, discipline, and belief. 🇬🇭
This journey hasn’t been easy for me. My first queen in 2022,
@zaharaimann , went and paved the way for Ghana making us a country that is now recognized and respected on the Grand stage. My second queen,
@kitavayvettlana , won the Grand Voice Award, placing Ghana even higher. My third queen,
@sage_laparriea , brought home Best in Evening Gown, again elevating our name.
And now, my fourth queen,
@faithmariaa I believe with every inch of my heart that you are bringing home the Golden Crown. But even if you don’t, you’ve already made history. You’ve united a nation and shown Ghana that it’s not only football that puts us on the map pageantry does that too.
Miss Grand Ghana is not just a beauty pageant it’s a movement. Through my daughters, my babies, we are telling Ghana’s story day by day, redefining what it means to be powerful, purposeful, and proud.
Thank you, Ghana, for finally tagging along for finally seeing what I’ve been trying to build for these women. Pageantry opens doors in ways that many cannot imagine; it gives our women voices and places us on the global stage where we belong.
To Zahara-Imani, my pioneer thank you for starting the journey.
To Kitava-Yvettlana, thank you for bringing home Ghana’s first award.
To Sage thank you for representing us with grace and winning Best in Evening Gown.
And to Faith, thank you for bringing home the love and unity of an entire nation.
No matter the outcome tonight, know that I am proud beyond words. You’ve already made your mark, and the world is watching Ghana rise once again. 👑🇬🇭
