What’s a film festival without a perfect pour? 🍷 We’re excited to welcome Alphabet City Wine Co. as a partner for B. Frank 2025!
ABC Wine Co. is Avenue C’s go-to for thoughtfully selected wines and small-batch spirits. 🚖🥂 Join us October 5th for a toast to creativity! Wine + Film… can’t think of a better pairing than that
We have a lot of new guys on the shelves lately, but here are a few standouts that are prime for the looming autumn season:
• Domaine Partagé ‘Cricri’ 2022. 100% Jacquere from Savoie, with everything you’d come to expect and much more. Pear, white fruit and white flowers, plum, wet stone and a little honey. So bright and so pretty. The kind of wine that makes you wonder why there aren’t more cheese fondue spots around. Also organic and biodynamic, which never hurts.
• Remi Pouizin, Vice Versa 2022. 50% Cinsault, 30% Grenache Blanc & 20% Viognier. A chillable/crushable field blend ideal for the late-summer warmth. Light on its feet with ample crunchy red and yellow fruit. A real no-brainer for Labor Day festivities.
• Grasso Fratelli ‘Trej’. 70% Nebbiolo, 15% each Barbera and Dolcetto. Classic but not boring. Rich, generous and warm—but not encumbering. Classic Piedmont, and most definitely going to be a fall/winter mainstay for a lot of us here.
• Soalheiro ‘Granit’ Alvarinho 2022. Granitic soils make for a crisp and extremely mineral-driven white begging for a seafood or sushi pairing, but can definitely be enjoyed on its own. Alvarinho is innately rather fruity, but Soalheiro delivered a salty and beautiful expression that shouldn’t be missed.
