Last year I challenged myself to figure out a way to visualize my favorite parts of music. Inspired by the incredible @robrushstenson , I ended up learning enough #python to create a code in #drawbot which uses midi information to animate shapes. This is still a work in progress, but I thought I would share a demo.
I put this tune together last week and loaded the drums into the code. After much tinkering and some funky effects from FCPX, here’s the result!
