Okay, this is hyperbole. The point is, there’s nowhere I have to be all weekend, I just wanna hang out and turn 35 in spooky style. I have raging RBF, but please approach. Invite me in and let me linger like a sickness.
When she was little I was rushing her to the front of Yo Gabba Gabba shows and now I’m pushing her toward the front of metal shows and my mama heart SOARS. It was an early birthday present for her, but it may have meant even more to me 🖤
Signing books and slinging band stickers at @doom.bar for the @thrillerdelphia after party. My first time holding Punk 2. It came out so good @trubornpress 🖤
I left my job because it was a toxic environment and I wanna tell you about the only thing I will greatly miss. My dad was my first customer almost every single shift for the past 3 years. He showed up because it was a way to see me and support me. I gave him a coffee and we talked if it wasn’t too busy. If he was ever late or couldn’t come for some reason, everyone would ask, “Is your dad okay?” I never took a picture of him sitting there, and I wish I did. But I do have this old photo of him in the same restaurant years prior, supporting me then by wearing a t-shirt of my favorite bass brand. I have my issues with my past and we don’t always agree, but it has become more and more clear just how much effort he’s put into being there.
This morning, I had coffee in his kitchen. After 3 years, I can’t give up those morning coffee talks, so I went to him. And I’m thankful he’s taught me how to show up.
New episode out now!
