Sharing my top 10 African films! â™„ïžđŸ™ŒđŸœđŸŒšđŸ“ș During my time teaching film producing in Lagos, Nigeria, I realized that many students were unaware of the rich African film landscape. This sparked a passion project - creating a syllabus to introduce others to the incredible world of African cinema! Want to explore the vibrant stories, talented filmmakers, and cultural treasures of Africa? Comment or send me a DM with your email address, and I’ll share the syllabus link! 🔗 Feel free to repost and share. Let’s celebrate and amplify African voices in film! #AfricanCinema #FilmSyllabus #LagosNigeria #TeachingFilm #AfricanStories #FilmEducation #CulturalWealth #ShareTheWealth

So
this is Me at the Maryland Film Festival. 😜 This is my last in-person film festival of 2025—and it was extra special because it was nearest to where I live (although 2 hours away). A few of my friends from middle school made the journey to come watch the film. It really meant a lot. đŸ„Č

While at the Beauty Expo, myself and award-winning actress @bridgetjohnactress were approached by a young photographer who wanted to take our photos. After a brief interrogration, we agreed. Go with the flow. It’s Lagos. Only in Lagos

Opening Film Spotlight In the dazzling, retro-futuristic world of Alkebulan, brilliance meets betrayal in The Incredible Sensational FiancĂ©e of SĂšyĂ ÀjĂ yĂ. A tale of love, intellect, and revenge told through Afro-futurist imagination, where a woman’s heartbreak becomes her awakening. Chosen as our opening film, it sets the stage for everything AAIFF stands for, bold storytelling, unapologetic African creativity, and the reimagining of our future through film. #AAIFF2025 #AfricanCinema #OpeningFilm #Afrofuturism #WomenInFilm

My friends, colleagues, and former students have been asking me to do this for some time and today I just decided to go for it. Yes, I spent a lot of time already building out the proposal and designing graphics but, most importantly, there’s no turning. Come and join me! đŸ™đŸŸ 🎬 FREE VIRTUAL CLASS Back to the Basics: Intro to Filmmaking 📅 Tuesday, November 18 🕗 8 PM WAT 📍 Online | Open to all 🔗 Register now — link in bio #OmosiAndCo #IntroToFilmmaking #NollywoodNow #AfricanCinema #NigeriaToTheWorld #FreeWorkshop #FilmClass #AfricanStoriesMatter

My first time in South Africa was to attend FAME Week Africa where @theincredible.shortfilm won 3 awards—Best Costume, Best Production Design, and Best Film. The latter was quite a surprise! I hope to attend @fame_shorts_film_festival again next year but with clips from the feature. đŸ€đŸ„‚ I’m continuously grateful to the team members and cast for joining me on this wild journey. Phone calls, prayers, laughter, and hugs. đŸ€—
