Last night was fun! Doing some white light work with the guys. Just got a new @streamlightinc TLR-7 X I'm testing out here on a @glockinc 19.
What flashlight are you guys running?
Running a longer sequence with the students today to try and expose issues with their grip. If we have to keep readjusting our hands to maintain control of the pistol then we need to make some changes to our hand position or the amount of pressure we have in our grip. A weak grip will lead to misses and or malfunctions especially in longer firing sequences.
Picking up the pace on uneven surface, seeing what I can get away with. It is good to get an idea of where the threshold is for us between speed an accuracy.
This is usually measured by rate of fire, but we should also look at our speed of movement with accuracy as well so we have an understanding/expectation for our effective fire, suppressive fire, or if we should just flat out run and get off the X, and then engage from a stationary position.
Great day getting dope with these LEO Snipers out a little further than they normally get the opportunity to train at. After getting dope, engaging some 1-2moa steel plates out to 500y, we wrapped up with a fun holds drill to build trust in their Reticle and doing some holds for fast target acquisition on the shilloetts.
Friday fun! Warm-up rounds on the range with transitions and safety manipulations between the stations with a new @pamaxtactical X-Slick bolt in thie PMT-15 Running smooth!
Also outfitted with @griffin_armament GRS optic and Daul-Lok suppressor.
Last week I was having trouble with my stock G19 trigger. Today we replaced it with a Timney trigger and I am still running into issues. It cycles but the trigger is not resetting correctly. Back to the armory for further review.
At least I get to practice some suprise immediate action drills.
Having some fun with the @griffin_armament MK-2 pistol with Dual-Lok 7.62 suppressor (I size up for the frangible ammo) and @steineropticsusa DRS1x optic.
