It entered English alongside “despair” in the 15th century, but while despair endured, respair quietly disappeared. This imbalance says much about the emotional frameworks we inherit — a cultural lexicon tilted toward loss over renewal. This hypnotic induction performance invites participants to restore a shared emotional vocabulary and to reconsider how language shapes experience. With sound composition by @aaron__drake , Respair reflects on the aftershocks of fire and ice, the breath between collapse and recovery.
