For Hyperbeast, @aarmanroy pieced memory, language and interactions with his parents to create a brilliant art piece, which was part of the New York exhibition titled ‘Love in Translation’ for Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month (AAPI).
What emerges is playful on the surface is a quiet archive of love. The kind you don’t hear, but grow up knowing.

Design as a multiplier for political impact
“Good design is an accessory. If your content is bad and you wrap it in gold, it is still bad. But if you have your basics and integrity right, design becomes a great multiplier.”
Aarman Roy, a designer and branding consultant with experience in New York and Delhi, joined the Youth and Democracy Conference 2026 (hosted in collaboration with @centreforyouthpolicy and @kasindia ) to discuss the evolving role of visual communication in political campaigns. He highlights that while design cannot fix a flawed message, it acts as a powerful catalyst for ideas that already possess a strong foundation of truth and purpose.
His advice to the students at Marwadi University is to cultivate passions outside of their academic curriculum. He credits his own growth to working on real-world projects simultaneously with his college studies, allowing him to apply classroom theory to the professional world in real time.

Happy 36th birthday @photoshop . Thank you for giving me a career, and an outlet for 13 year old Aarman who had a lot of energy, imagination and time on his hands.
Still one of the most well thought out piece of software ever made. Love the homage they pay to all traditional tools and techniques of art. Blew my mind when I learnt that "masking" was a reference to how painters would mask off areas of their canvas with tape!
You can tell it was made with utmost sincerity, and it's still going strong 36 years later. How many things in the digital realm have this kind of longevity and tenacity? To this day I feel true freedom in this program, nowhere else.
I'm so happy this was my first introduction to digital art (and later graphic design). I genuinely felt like I could make anything I wanted to (and it's a rare possibility with Photoshop). It's so empowering for a young kid to feel that with enough reps and practice I could come close to the greats that I admired!
I don't believe things are original and we are all standing on the shoulders of giants, and the approach that the software design of Photoshop took (honoring techniques of analog art making) also echoes the same.
What a couple of million lines of C++ compiled to 1s and 0s can do for society and humankind in general.
Award winning designer @aarmanroy ‘s energy is contagious. The self taught artist is filled with wonder as he takes us through his intricate craftsmanship behind the title sequence of the Netflix series ‘Ray’.
As the project’s 3D designer and animator, Aarman constructed shots, camera moves, and full sequences that the team later traced and painted frame-by-frame. He reveals how Satyajit Ray’s legacy and the team’s analogue approach shaped his visual decisions for texturing and compositing.
