Hi! I’m Sissi, Producer & Head of Production here. Been in the industry for over 10 years, and a part of the Ääri team for over 5 years.
I’m all about cultivating a space and production structure that lets the creatives around me do their thing, while helping in figuring out the tricky parts along the way. Always been a big fan of moving image - and the bigger the production, the better. Think large crews, shoots abroad, and bringing different worlds together. On that note, my favourite production memories are from Mexico, India, and all over Europe. For me the highest highs come from seeing the films come to life on set and in the edit suite.
Sometimes strict and always detail-oriented - because my productions and my team are my priority. Still not missing a chance to giggle along the way🧚♀️

The stars of the show did not say much and we did not ask for anything. They moved as they wanted and we worked around it. It was not hard but it took the time it took. At times they were still and we were happy, then they moved and we were still happy: We got to spent the day with the GOATs.
Making of video by Emir Al Emara
We filmed new images for the launch of a new sports media platform: Vuohi.fi. The name originated from the common sports term GOAT (Greatest Of All Time) so therefore the name of the platform became Vuohi (Goat in finnish).
We wanted to create iconic images where goats are the superstars. It was a rare opportunity to do our very first goat casting. While looking for the goats, it was important to find a place that is not too big and where the goats are able to be free and feel appreciated. It was also important that everything was produced in an animal-friendly way.
It was funny to see that our very own Michelin chef, Iikka, was cutting and preparing treats beforehand for the goats in just the right sizes. The stars appreciated the effort!
A huge thank you also to the goat owners who were with us and the goats the whole day and helped us bring these images and films to life!

Starting Monday, on a positive note,
In January 2026 Finnish tech company Neural DSP released their new product, the Quadcortex Mini at NAMM in Anaheim, California, the world’s largest music industry event.
The product sold out the first years production in the first day of its release. The company has grown 30% YoY from 40M eur to 55M eur in revenue.
If you are Finnish and don’t play the guitar, chances are you have never heard of Neural DSP. So we want to tell you about them.
With the world in turmoil and the local economy here in Finland in bit of a turbulent state, Neural DSP feels like a fresh breeze.
Neural DSP clocks in as the global market leader in its category. Acts like Coldplay and Megadeth use their product. In times like these we should not keep the lid on things like this but feed the positive spiral.
Ääri has had the good fortune of being with the company now for the past two product releases and one product refresh making sure the spearhead launch films looks and says what they should.
The visual magic was done at Ääri by Tauno Sillanpää with the support of Juho Norokytö. Music Track by John Connearn and audio design by El Camino.
This has been possible because the company values branding and storytelling to high regard. You should too!
Have a great week!
Mitä luovuus on ja mitä se syö? Creative Respect jaksossa Reino Tikkasen vieraana United Imaginationsin Co-founder ja Chief Creative Officer Jyrki Poutanen. Adweek valitsi Jyrkin 2021 maailman sadan luovimman ihmisen joukkoon.
Reino ja Jyrki kaivavat esiin ne asiat, jotka pitävät
luovuuden elossa: arjessa, työn ulkopuolella ja siinä
hetkessä, jolloin asiat loksahtavat yhteen.

People at Ääri Valtteri Haverinen
At the end of the day I’m just a boy taking pictures and telling stories, nothing more to it. I’ve always loved the way moments are held in photographs, the weirdness of spontaneous moments frozen forever. Even though this is the core idea for me behind photography, I love to craft images to their best versions, whether it is through light or careful composition. For me the best photographs are those, in which those two aspects merge to combine something thought provoking and unique.
I studied photography at the Lahti Institute of Design and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Photography. So yeah just an artist in this grand world trying to find something. At Ääri I’ve had the chance to explore how can one combine a more thematic take on images and stories with the high level of technical craft the field requires. It’s an ongoing study and I’m always interested to find new ways of executing this.
Send a brief or memes, I like both.
For this project, we partnered with Timma to concept, produce and shoot a campaign consisting of a film and a series of stills. We stepped into the world of beauty and wellness — visiting salons, treatment rooms, and studios to portray real people in genuine moments, and Timma as a service that makes the business side effortless so they can focus on what they do best.
