Join AALEAD's 4th annual mental health education series for youth (ages 10-15) and their families! This year’s theme, "Embracing Our Minds, "encourages understanding", acceptance, and self-care for mental well-being, especially in the Asian American community. Sessions include hands-on activities for youth and expert-led discussions for parents, held monthly on Saturdays at Julius West Middle School, Rockville, MD.
First Session: Saturday, Nov 23, 10 am - 1:30 pm (next sessions Dec 14 & Jan 18).
Incentives include raffle prizes, SSL hours, and a $50 stipend. Volunteers needed!

Wondering what our Maryland Youth Council has been up to? 👀 For the past several months, Maryland Youth Council has sought to address disparate access to STEM resources within the Montgomery County Public Schools system. They uncovered various resources through interviews with teachers, fellow students, and community members. To increase public awareness of these opportunities, they created informational materials and shared their findings at our recent End-of-Year Celebration.
