Proud to share the first look at Call of My Life, my first feature film as Production Designer. 🥰✨✨ Directed by @dammytwitch , produced by @blessinguzzi for @bluhousestudios , and written by @uzoamakapower , this beautiful rom-com gave me the opportunity to build a visual world that felt vibrant, glossy, and emotionally expressive. My intention was to use color, texture, and every space was designed to feel immersive, expressive, and transportive, shaping the tone of the story and the characters within it. Throwback to building this prison set for the Won Da Mo music video. The brief was simple: design a prison focused on two cells. The magic, for me, was in obsessing over the details; textures, wear, and the little Easter eggs. Every element you see was intentionally designed, fabricated, and placed. Nothing random. Everything deliberate. ✨

I HATE IT HERE - THE TRAILER This project holds a special place in my heart. When I read this story, it was a no brainer that we had to deliver this in the most authentic, organic and relatable manner. This is an important story, that addresses very sensitive topics; Domestic Violence, Trauma, Shame, and Flawed Societal Perspectives—a reflection of the harsh realities faced by many individuals and households. so it was really important for me to ground our cinematic world in simplicity and consistency. What made this extra special was that we decided to take it home, Ibadan. To capture its essence so beautifully and intentionally is truly priceless. Reading the script, it was easy to picture the scenes against the backdrop of familiar places and memories within the city. And working with a talented team to bring the story to life was nothing short of amazing. A special thanks to my family, especially my dad, for granting us access to my late Grandmother’s home. 🤍Designing the spaces, discovering childhood pictures, and taking that trip down memory lane became an emotional yet cherished process. It's exciting when we we create an environment that looks and feel familiar but in a more stylistic and intentional manner, with a lot of thought put into every detail, textures, and layers.
