For Alymamah Rashed @aacanvas , faith is not something separate from daily life. It lives in quiet moments of presence, in painting, listening to music, lighting candles, or simply allowing silence to settle.
In our conversation, the Kuwaiti artist reflects on how spirituality helps her stay grounded during uncertain times, and how simple rituals can gently return us to patience, trust, and gratitude.

🌺 🐚❤️🔥// I can’t keep the secret any longer!!!! I’m beyond honored to finally announce my collaboration with @dior on the 10th edition of Lady Dior Art — a project I’ve had the immense pleasure of working on over the past two years.
In this collaboration, two visions from my practice come alive within the legacy of the iconic Lady Dior bag:
✨ A seashell from Failaka Island — carrying the memory of my land,
🌸 And the Humaith Spring Flower — blooming with spirit and rebirth.
This has been one of the most meaningful highlights of my career so far, and I’m endlessly grateful to the incredible Dior team who brought this dream into being.
A special thank you to @oceane.sailly@hunna.art , whose support made this journey unforgettable, to @wissamharizi for making it all possible, and to the incredible team and artisans of @dior who brought my vision to life.
More will be revealed once the collaboration officially launches with @dior this November worldwide— alongside a special announcement I can’t wait to share. 🌊🧿🌸

💛💌🩵// “I Look at You to Kiss You Softly with My Eyes (A Poppy from the Mountain of My Remembrance Lives Eternally)” Oil on canvas, 80x80cm, 2026 | This work is about the force of circulation as a form of protection. Every spring, I usually find a poppy during a hike in the mountains of Sakarya, and this year I was not able to go. I kept yearning to see a poppy, and I remembered a field of them on a mountain top overlooking a lake, a place I arrived at only by getting lost from the hiking tracks. This is for the field of poppies that found me when I least expected them.
🌌🔮🪽// I have always worked through circulation, moving between multiple works at once, allowing a constellation to form among them. Each piece may hold its own world, yet they lead into one another, meeting at quiet points of connection. It feels like forming a galaxy within the studio, one that I move through and around. During this time, I have retreated fully into that process. While my practice has always been fluid, I now feel a more defined circle taking shape. I find myself swimming within it, returning to the studio each day as I am, yet with a rhythm that feels almost like a dance. These are moments from the studio at night, when the circulations deepen, gather, and begin to breathe, only to come alive again under the sun.

🌻❣️🦋 // Moments of joy found in shifting directions of a vision, creating vast splashes across the sky, flowers for my forest, antique hunting, and more love. I’m filled with gratitude to feel it all and to remain present during this time. I hope that through your presence, you’re able to uncover a newfound peace that rises beyond turbulence.

🌾🌺🌹🌱 // Today I spoke with a dear friend, @hamad.muzaini ,about how small sightings can reveal the tone of a day—flowers along our walks, or the sky carrying traces of what’s unfolding during the war. I realized my first emotional signal came before it all began, when I noticed the first blooms of spring, as if I was being quietly prepared. I’ve always imagined my shelter in a bed of flowers or within a forest, and seeing Nuwair flowers near my home and baby Humaith blooms in my neighborhood made me want to paint myself resting there, gently comforting my own spirit.
