… it’s been fun and special to have this band evolve from my own private musings in my bedroom during the pandemic into some tenderloin practice space hangs with @fresh_apple_emotion , and finally with the addition of @sma11star on the drums! 🧶
Playing in this band has taught me a lot about songwriting and the freedoms of playing in a band with the help of my friends beautiful brains.
I wrote the B-side, “Hummingbird”, about my grandma who always had a sweet treat in her purse. It was one of the first songs I wrote for this band, so it’s real special to finally set it free. @pterodacdyl plays violin on it. 🌬️
@the_telephone_numbers Thomas spent many nights recording us in the Nez cave. 🐱
@chime.school Andy graciously mixed and mastered it for us. 🐈⬛
Emily and quoia labored over this beautiful stop motion video for “Sunday Best” and I helped a little bit by making that one butterfly. 🦋
Oh, AND look at this magical insert we made featuring all of our jewelry and gems and trinkets! You get a cool print of it (postcard) with the SLR version, or a full on lithograph poster with the Galaxy Train one! 🚂

Wow this year!!! Thomas and I moved into our own apartment in the Richmond, released a record, got engaged on a rainy sunset afternoon on the beach in Jenner, and then got to celebrate with our amazing friends in Japan. I’ve never felt so lucky and loved. Happy new year, I usually hate this holiday but I’m feeling so grateful to have such a special bunch of people in my little corner of the word. It can be rough out there. To health, music, connection, resilience, nature, and love. 🥂☮️❤️
