When we started this brand 9 years ago we couldn’t imagine that it would take us this far. We started this brand in a 200sqft space with the vision of creating an incubator that would service creatives all around the world. A brand that would create immense value that history would make it unforgettable. Kind of like the abbey roads of the world or the record plants or even the sunsets of the world. It took me a while to write this one because I wanted to carefully choose my words on how to properly describe this iconic talent. So many words come to mind but very few can properly describe him. You always hear about an artist putting their city on the map or their state on the map and If that artist gets to a rarity of air then they reach a feat of putting their country on the map. That is a very rare accomplishment I would say but when an artist not only puts their country but also an entire industry or genre on the map it is a feat that very few have ever accomplished. Jose Aka @jbalvin an artist with a gift that arguably has changed the world. If you ask me jose has done something for the Latin industry that honestly very few have ever been able to do. In a time where Puerto Rico Dominated reggaeton Balvin took Colombia and Colombia style of reggaeton and thrust it in the forefront. A move that many didn’t see coming and not only that he brought the entire reggaeton industry to the limelight. We’ve seen it with Yankee and El General and a few more. But what Balvin did with reggaeton was much more different. He opened the doors for the world to see how powerful reggaeton could be. Through collaborations, empowerment and encouragement he’s opened so many doors to some of the artist we listen to today. Jose I could write an entire book on how much impact you’ve Made in this industry and this world. The young prodigy from Medellin Colombia is now considered one of the greatest artist of all time. If you ever look up the definition of a Queen there is a few words that stands out instantly. Powerful, Superior, Crown and Goddess is just a few words that immediately grabs your attention. The title of a queen is bold but fierce! Brazil the largest country in South America is home to arguably some of the greatest talents of all time. We’ve all heard of Pelé,Ronaldinho and Neymar but there is a talent in my opinion that have defied the odds much more than anyone else. And this Queen goes by @anitta born in Rio de Janeiro Brazil @anitta has always been a young prodigy! She began her singing career at 8 years old and years later began taking dancing lessons. One of the things that stood out the most to me about Anitta is how dedicated and focus she is when it comes to her craft. In her documentary Anitta Made in Honorio, there is a section where she speaks about her early days of being an artist and how she would get on top barrels and practice performing as she was invisioning being on stage. That level of Vision and dedication is what has catapulted her to being a Global icon! @anitta is the most decorated artist from Brazil! And most recently she made Grammy history by being the first artist in the last 50 years from Brazil to be nominated for an award! I can’t tell how many barriers that she is broken.
