In the last couples of month I experimented with mixed media, creating a weirdly cute video about apocalypses. I filmed some of the clips in Milan and used some that I had in my archive.
✺ the first act is about the explosion on the sun.
The process behind making this video is a bit nonsense but I think the outcome is worth it.
first thing first I filmed the video with my phone, imported it in premiere, changed it to 10fps and exported the frames as jpeg files. I printed all the frames layout on some A4 sheet and then started drawing them with pencils and felt-pens. once done with the editing I scanned all the pages and digitally cut them in their original proportions, imported in premiere and created my frame by frame hand-drawn animation.
✺ the second act is about the Great Flood.
The idea for this video comes from a cheap book about conspiracy and apocalypses I found home some years ago.
in the book it is showed how many different prophecies have been written through the history of humankind, and somehow, we are still here treating the world around us like shit and exploiting it. I wish a very kind collapse of the human-kind to us all!
✺ the third act is about an asteroid smashing into the Earth.

their performance “This width of light” on the opening night was really touching and the whole exhibition is full of amazing works from many different artists, it will be open to visit till february.
