I’ve really been trying to get after it lately and am going to post more often and release more consistently as I’m sure a lot of you have noticed. Im sure I’ll annoy some people along the way or post some cringeworthy stuff so I appreciate you all bearing with me as I throw stuff into the digital void that is social media!

This one’s called Selecta
I wrote this over a couple of days last Christmas and love how it turned out! As soon as I wrote the chords, the rest fell into place quickly. I love how the chords generate tension in the build and also serve as the main motif for the song.

I have an EP coming out May 8!
No Manners consists of two songs, Selecta and Flip That, which are heavily influenced by artists like AC Slater and Wax Motif.
I remember falling in love with the label Night Bass over a decade ago, and they continue to inspire me as they stay fresh on their take on Bass House and Garage. They’ve helped build the careers of some of my favourite artists over the years including MPH, Bessey, and Curbi.
I’m hoping to keep developing my skills as a producer and artist to one day release on Night Bass myself!

Don’t sleep on the EQ!
Understand the tools you have, then break the rules. You can make great things happen with the most basic stuff. Don’t fall for the plugin/gear trap that I’ve fallen into countless times. Sometimes creativity isn’t about writing cool melodies or chords, but is instead the way you approach things in ways you’ve never thought before.
