•Description of the Performance:
How do we encounter one another—
and how are we apart from one another?
Moments of encounter appear accidentally or unexpectedly, just as the moments in which we begin to drift apart. These moments of connection and disconnection ask us: “Perhaps even in distance—in the act of being apart—do we remain connected?”
The echo keeps blinking constantly. It does not disappear. It invites us to look again at what we are connected to—and what we are not. In doing so, we become “connected” once more.
Blinking Echoes asks how we exist in relation to one another. Relationships, whether formed by coincidence or intention, bind us together and shape us mutually. Through repeated encounters and parting, these relationships persistently transform and continue. We move closer to those we were previously unaware of, and we meet our past and present again. Where are the echoes we have left behind now?
And: “How should we meet, and how do we say goodbye to one another”.
