Today in Pretoria, we held a highly progressive and strategic engagement at the offices of UN Women South Africa as preparations continue towards the upcoming Status of Women in KwaZulu-Natal Summit 2026: @statusofwomensummit The meeting focused on a number of critical strategic areas relating to women empowerment, gender equality, sustainable development, and the practical implementation of programmes that seek to improve the lives of women and young girls across our communities. We are honoured and excited to welcome UN Women South Africa on board as part of this growing movement and historic initiative. The engagement further explored the meaningful role that UN Women can play within the Summit, including strategic collaboration, programme alignment, advocacy, empowerment initiatives, stakeholder mobilisation, and strengthening implementation pathways that speak directly to the Sustainable Development Goals and the empowerment agenda for Africa. This milestone continues to elevate the Summit into a truly impactful platform that is attracting both national and international confidence and support. From KwaZulu-Natal to the continent — the movement is growing. We remain committed to building a Summit that produces tangible outcomes, lasting partnerships, and practical change for women and young girls. #StatusOfWomenSummit #UNWomen #WomenEmpowerment #GenderEquality #SDG5 AfricanGlobalNetworks KZN2026 AfricaRising WomenLeadership UnitedNations

I thought Minister in the Presidency for Women, Youth and Persons with Disability (and now also newly appointed Acting Minister for Social Development), Minister Sindisiwe Chikunga was ‘on fire’ yesterday in when she addressed the young people in Soweto. The media launch of the year- long programme of the 50th anniversary of the 1956 Youth Uprisings- championed by the NYDA. One was humbled by this invitation from the Minister and looking forward to welcoming her in Durban next week🇿🇦🙌#womenempowerment #statusofwomensummit #sowetouprising #dwypd #africanglobalnetworks

A powerful day at Naturena ✌️⚽ It was truly special to be at the home of @kcfcofficial — not just as a visit, but as a reminder of a long-standing and growing strategic partnership between the Club and @african_global_networks . For years, we have shared a vision rooted in nation-building, youth development, and using platforms of influence to shape a better South Africa. Today was about strengthening that bond even further. It was also a pleasure engaging with the team and wishing Amakhosi well ahead of their important fixture against Mamelodi Sundowns in Pretoria. The spirit, focus, and unity in the camp is inspiring. We now look ahead with great excitement as we prepare to welcome Amakhosi to Durban in the coming weeks—where football meets purpose, and where we join hands in advancing meaningful social impact through our programmes, including the upcoming Status of Women Summit. This is more than sport. This is legacy work. 🤝 #statusofwomen #Amakhosi #NationBuilding #PositiveMasculinity #KZN Leadership
