“I could be”
It’s the first song from the Ep. It was written together with @vinjarpetersen and the text is influenced by the idea of unconditional love.
.
My friend @elinsifhall is featured in this song, lending her wonderful voice for this new duet. Elín and Í wrote a song together a couple of years ago, and I couldn’t be happier to have her singing with me 💛🌻.
.
Listen to “I could be” from the Ep Montenegro in all streaming platforms.
Im so excited to share with you that my new Ep “Montenegro” is out on all streamers and platforms!
This is such a special one! I would appreciate if you go and listen to it, share and support our new short album 💛🌻🫶💌
.
Inspiration behind the work:
Montenegro is a semi-fictional narrative inspired by childhood memories, experiences and significant places in my upbringing like my grandparents home. The concept behind Montenegro is a reflection on family as the first instance in which humans learn how to relate to each other and to the world around us. The idea of “home” and time are also part of the whole thing.
.
I made this little album with @vinjarpetersen in our studio! Thanks to everybody who was involved in one way or another.
Hola!
Today I am releasing a new song called Hues, out for you to listen too 💛 it is a song that me and my good friend @vinjarpetersen wrote last winter and produced in our studio in @hafnarhaus
.
This song is about daily life, the moments of stillness to catch a breath of fresh air, to appreciate things we sometimes take for granted, just because we are so fortunate to have.
The text describes winter images in Iceland in parallel to cultural and social behaviour.
This song is also the first one out of an upcoming little album called “Montenegro” so that’s extra exciting.
Anyways so exciting to share new music into the world. I hope it brings something positive to everybody who listens to it.
.
Thank you for your support, it means the world to us.
Thank you to @arnihjorvar for working on the mix with us.
