So a new start, new logo, new products. Thank you so much to the awesome.@sammieslittleworld for designing my logo. So things have changed a little, I've moved away from papercrafting (although still doing a little of this) and towards stitchery adventures. My present focus is handstitched patchwork bags and handmade runes made with foraged wood. Also cross stitched patches and pictures. If you see anything you like, and want to commission me to make a gift, maybe in another colour design, then feel free to message and we can natter about it.

@queer.made is a joint venture between @mumptymakes and @_unitydesigns_ Our first market, we traded separately, and it didnt feel quite right.... so on our return home, Queer Made began. We now do markets under this name, but we keep our separate accounts for social media, commissions and general nonsense!! 🤣 So, if you're reading this, feel free to pop along and throw us a like and/or a share!!

Lemmie give you a swift update of some goodies I've been making for @queer.made I'll pop deets of the markets we have coming up over there. Most are raw images of things I've made before they've been framed up and finished, but you get the gist! I've gotten back into a little bit of knitting because I'm doing a knitting challenge for @alzheimersresearchuk and figured I'd combine it with stuff for the stall. 😉 Strange to be knitting instead of sewing, but I've enjoyed it!! So, the Instagram QR code for @queer_made was finished just in time for the last market. It was a labour of love!! I did the black, and had Kate check and see if it actually worked, and it did!!! So I completed the background in between working on other bits and bobs. It was finished literally the day before our market!! A fair few people scanned it, which made me smile!! So, we did @bristolalternativemarket a couple of weeks ago. Our first ever market. (myself and @mumptymakes ) Before the market had even kicked off, I'd made a sale. Shocked was an understatement!! I've always been unsure if I'd ever sell anything, us crafters always doubt ourselves, right? Anyhooooo, a tag pops up on my insta, and here she is!! @iris_inspired !! Lemmie tell you a lickle story..... Back in April 2023, Kate and myself had our first irl date. We went to a little Costa, corner table. We chatted about anything and everything. Most amazing. 🥰 One our conversations was about our passion for crafting. Our common goal was to set up a queer cafe. Foods, drinks, queer and safe..... with a craft element, in whatever capacity. We did a day-dreamy business plan as we laughed about what we wanted should the opportunity arose. Over the last 16 months, we've spent equal amounts of time physically crafting, and swapping ideas and ideals, of genius ideas for items, of plans for the future if it was ever feasible. (Alot of those have been at 2am, wide awake and brains buzzing! 🤪🤣🤣) I've always dreamt, and had many attempts at starting a little craft business, but with little to zero support. Today, both of our dreams were beginning to be recognised thanks to @bristolalternativemarket We've spent our time, since we left at 4pm looking at each other and going "WE DID IT!!!" The fact people have paid money for our art is mindblowing!! So, yeah, exciting times. We both have renewed enthusiasm, after both of us have mentally and verbally ripped ourselves apart with low confidence, no belief that *anyone* would entertain "buying our shit" and disbelief that we could ever pull off doing a market, and filling a 6 foot table with stock! And so, my Bean, my stardust, my biggest supporter in every life adventure.... @mumptymakes @mumtdumpty WE DID IT. And not only did we do it, we smashed it!!! I am so eager to see where we take this.
