‘तूजी औकात काये?’ विचारत विचारत, अनेक गाव हिंडत, आता शेवटचा फेरा, शेवटचे प्रयोग करतोय! या तारखा आहेत. सगळे प्रयोग हाऊसफुल्ल करा! जसं नेहमी करत आलात तशीच गर्दी करा. ज्यांनी प्रयोग नाही पाहिलाय त्यांनी प्रयोगाला या आणि ज्यांनी पाहिलाय त्यांनी पुन्हा या. अजून काही गावात, शहरात प्रयोग आहेत ते लवकरच कळवू!

For the past 33 years, Kankavli has been hosting a theatre festival with incredible consistency and love for the stage. Even Naseeruddin Shah has performed here and there’s a video of him saying how much he enjoyed performing in this space. And this year… it was our turn. “Tuji Aukaat Kaaye?” 44th show. After a long gap, we finally got the chance to perform again and we couldn’t have been happier. A beautiful theatre by the river. A mandap and chandeliers like a royal pavilion. Rehearsals by the riverside breeze. People travelling from nearby villages. Show started at 9:30 PM…and ended at 1 AM… followed by long, passionate discussions about the play. This isn’t just a festival. It’s a celebration. A tradition. Almost like the village’s own Dashavatari theatre culture. The organisers don’t even sleep for seven days straight, that’s their dedication. We left Pune in the morning, ate modaks in the afternoon, fish curry at night, performed with villagers and even Amol Palekar in the audience and ended the night with unforgettable conversations about theatre. Those discussions changed how we look at our own play. Grateful. Inspired. Recharged. Thank you Acharekar Pratishthan, Kankavli for inviting us. Day 2 of the Tarpa Theatre Festival 2026 turns its spotlight toward the resilient spirit of the women who are the true guardians of the grove. We have three plays, across age groups and boundaries. Right from little girl from the land of the rising sun, to the powerful narrative of gender, identity, choices of women from India! Step into the circle and witness the strength of our sisters: 1. Totto Chan – Totto Chan is a Japanese tale of a young girl who was expelled from her previous school in the first grade due to her ‘so called’ indiciplined behavior. She subsequently joins the Tomoi School where she spends two years learning and acquiring valuable experiences and lessons that shape her entire character. 2. Tuji Aukat Kaye? – Vedika, born into the lineage of devadasis, she was destined to live in the same tradition as those before her. Merely escaping her fate, she leaves her home and sets out on a journey of survival and self-discovery. Her travel is a departure from a place of oppressive comfort towards an uncertain freedom. 3. Lavani Ke Rang – While Lavani is widely recognized as an energetic and fast-paced dance performed for entertainment, the deeper stories of its artists remain largely untold. Lavani Ke Rang offers a rare, intimate glimpse into the world of women performers from matriarchal communities in Maharashtra showing their resilience, creativity, humour, and lived experiences. Glimpses of Iblis 3.0

२ दिवसात ४ प्रयोग! 🌻 गेले दोन दिवस दौऱ्यातील प्रयोग सुरू आहेत. कधी पारावर, झाडाखाली, गल्लीच्या बाजूला तर कधी बुद्धविहार अशा जागा ज्या नाटकाचं थिएटर बनल्या! प्रत्येक प्रयोगात मुलं पालक सगळे येऊन बसतात. प्रयोगाधीच ritual म्हणजे सगळ्या गल्ल्यांमधून मुलं स्वतः डफ घेऊन जातात आणि ‘नाटकाला चला’ म्हणून आवाज देत फिरतात. त्या गल्यांमध्ये फिरताना कमाल मजा येते!त्यात बऱ्याच चूली दिसतात. जेवणाचे वास… ताया हात पुसत पुसत, भेटायला येतात, नाटक बघतात. फार मजा येते आहे ह्या प्रयोगात. आज तर प्रयोगात एक मुलगा उठून सूर्याला प्रश्न विचारू लागला आणि त्यानंच ते नाटक पूर्ण केलं. अजून बरेच प्रयोग राहिले आहेत. जागा तुमची गोष्ट आमची. अजून प्रयोगांसाठी फोन येतायत. आम्ही नक्की प्रयोगाला येऊ आणि तुम्हाला उलट फ़ोन करू ❤️ #tinytalestheatrecompany #jagatumchigoshtamchi #travellingtheatre ( जागा तुमची गोष्ट आमची jaga tumchi gosht amchi tiny tales theatre company storytelling theatre drama )
