An incredible weekend of community!
On May 2nd, I was grateful to host @bramptonbot ’s first ever Jane’s Walk (@janeswalkto ). @jaipunk and I explored an under appreciated part of Brampton, the Kennedy and Clarence area, where we visited the Kennedy Square Mall, South Asian textile shops, and restaurants/caterers galore. The legacy of immigrant entrepreneurialism and alternative music trailblazing (shout out TVO’s Spirit of Radio documentary on YouTube!) still remain strong 💪🏽 thank you to EVERYONE who came out and all the small business who accommodated our massive group. Thank you to @jasonparis@mrs.tasa@visitpama@jagjittextile@jenvivian@gujaratifoods@ecobrownessentials and more.
I capped the weekend with @_thirdspacemusic supporting our lovely friends at @smallworldnotes who put on a great show with the stellar @chaurasia_rakesh and @amitkavthekar followed by the legend @anindotabla and @atishmukhopadhyay in the beautiful @ismailicentretoronto . Well done @umairjaffar bhai, @rezamogh and the entire SMW team.
