I had a blast hosting Smoke and Mirrors last Friday! I’ve long dreamed of curating an event where I could not only play music but also create an immersive space to showcase my visual artistic vision as well, including the biggest kaleidoscope I’ve built yet! Very exited to be hosting my first event in LA this Friday at the @nonplusultrala ! I will be creating a completely encompassing immersive space where you will enter through a kaleidoscope and stay within a dreamscape of mirrors, light, fog and shadow. Some of my favorite projects from 2024 ! Getting paid to have fun and work with friends is a luxury I do not take for granted !! One of my resolutions is to capture more of the creative work that I do, stay tuned !
Walking into the abyss... Grateful for a year of self-discovery, returning to Los Angeles, supporting myself through creative work, and finding community around every corner. Spent the past month production designing this winter pop up at @level8.dtla ! Everything from the lighting, props and layout to the logo and flyers was handled by yours truly. In addition, I also did the holiday decor for 5 (of the 8) other venues!! It’s open now through February 2 so if y’all wanna go hit. me. up. Peace and love, Ryan
Was a time working on this venue ! From design assistance to set dressing and sourcing all the way to creating the logo, menu, website, and marquee sign (!), this nightclub always kept me on my feet.
