Like it! , Performative dinner, at the residency oppening at Diorama / @jeftavandinther Like it ! is a performative dinner where the audience is invited to a generous and tempting feast, and at the same time, as the title indicates, is forced to like it! The dinner consists of four courses and a double dessert, served in different settings that create multiple dynamics between the audience and the performers, as well as among the audience members themselves. Throughout the performance, trust and suspicion, pleasure and disgust, intimacy and isolation, appetite and satiety, sensuality and restraint, coexist and unfold. The dinner inhabits the contradiction of a delicious and nourishing space while at the same time underlines the contemporary pressure for enjoying and accumulating experiences as a form of commodity. Within this pressure, pleasure slides into saturation, and the act of tasting becomes indistinguishable from the act of accumulating. Photos by @genuachet

It’s a pleasure (performed video, 9’19”) It’s a pleasure is a performed video featuring four protagonists in an office, at work. They engage in a parody of our laboring bodies, struggling, more or less successfully, to achieve perfection, both in their tasks and in their appearance. Everything is constrained: their faces are pulled tight with tape facelifts, their outfits are sharply styled… These interchangeable figures take turns playing the boss, while secretaries and other subordinates bustle around them. Their language is reduced to clichés, repeating endlessly how much “pleasure” they take in working together. Offering a critique of the pressure to keep our bodies constantly productive, especially as artists so often reminded to live off our passions-works, this performance embraces the grotesque and pushes it to the point of absurdity. The office space becomes a choreographic tool, a clownish whirlwind that upends norms, roles, and bodies. * automatically generated subtitles #itsapleasure #workaholics #passionwork #performingarts #performance #performer #performingartist #performingart #artist #artwork #art

PLS PLS ME first studio presented at @kinkaleri_spaziok as part of Aprto festival. I still have many thoughts about this work that I need to process and sit with.
Thank you to those who stood by me during this week filled with stress, doubts, and tiredness.
I faced some of my deepest fears, and for now, I’ve chosen to step away from them.
But I dream of the day I’ll dance with them, light and joyful, like at the best party in the world. DON’T FORGET TO STRETCH AND FORGIVE YOURSELF !! 📷1-2-4-6-8 Courtesy @toastproject

In the Middle of the Face is a choral and corporeal performance for four performers. On stage, four white faces, covered in flour, come to life. Their mouths—red, exaggerated—become centers of emission, expression, and tension. Together, they form a polyphonic choir where each voice is also a face: a fragile, vibrating mask offered to the gaze through the mirror. This performance explores the possibility of harmony between bodies, voices, and affects through the lens of the face. The choir becomes a space of shared resonance, a site of collective attempt: how can we make a body together without erasing our differences? How can we be together, fully, without disappearing? The performers are not seeking perfection, but presence. In this pursuit, the face becomes central: a space of address and projection, but also of exposure. To go beyond the mirror means to abandon representation and give way to raw perception. To be seen, simply—no longer to seduce or please, but to be here, just here, in a form of emotional and collective nakedness. Through repetition, tension, silence, and dissonance, In the Middle of the Face becomes a fragile negotiation between the visible and the felt, between outcry and murmur, between the grotesque and the vulnerable. La Fontana del Piacere is a visual and video installation exploring the relationship between pleasure, exposure, and the expressive surface of the face. Five iPhones display looping videos: four show close-ups of faces being hit or caressed by a stream of water, while the fifth shows a bottle being tipped over, becoming a ritual gesture. Each face expresses a different state: absorption, retreat, resistance, tension, waiting, offering. These micro-gestures form a choreography of the sensitive, a pre-verbal language where pleasure is rendered visible through minute shifts, tightenings, relaxations, and subtle tremors. The installation investigates the space between the hands and the mouth, this intimate, humid threshold where the inside meets the outside. Water, as a living material, becomes a vehicle for sensation and transformation. The face is sculpted by the stream, deformed by impact, shifted by surprise or pleasure. It is a sensual, profane ritual replaying the link between self and self-touch La Fontana del Piacere brings into tension technological display and bodily intimacy. It questions our relationship to self-image, self-stimulation, and the staging of pleasure in a world saturated by screens. A domestic fountain, scaled to the face, where affects surface and dissolve. [NODE] Open Studio - Diorama | p.o.l.e. collective ____________________________________ Friday 11. July 2025 / 18.00 - 20.00 (entry at any time) Diorama, Berlin Hauptstraße 13, 10317 Berlin DOOR F (near the bolder gym), Level 4. *** The event is free and requires a registration. Please use sign-up link in bio ____________________________________ Jefta van Dinther and DIORAMA are pleased to present a [NODE] Open Studio by p.o.l.e. (performative office of living experimentations). For this residency, one of p.o.l.e. members, Matilde Bassetti, invites the collective to explore the notion of pleasure. Inspired by feminist and somatic theories, pleasure will be approached as a site of knowledge, resistance, and transformation. The studio will become a temporary playground—a space to investigate how pleasure moves through bodies, how social and cultural narratives shape it, and how it might be reclaimed as a source of agency and imagination. Together, they will reflect on their definitions of pleasure and engage in practices that invite the other to feel, to play, to desire. At the end of the residency week, they will open the studio doors to the public, inviting the audience to witness the process in its raw, evolving form. They create a generous multimedia space, an invitation to come together, witness, and share. The audience is free to move through the open archive of their research: a constellation of practices, documentation, photographs, performances, and video installations. This is not a fixed path, but a fluid landscape shaped by curiosity and choices, a lively and joyful experiment. Duration of the work (roughly): 2h, and you are welcome to join at any time. Credits for the work: p.o.l.e. collective Matilde Bassetti, Darius Dolatyari-Dolatdoust, Marcos Nacar, Mallaury Scala. We invite the audience for feedback during the studio session. [NODE] is funded by the Berlin Senate Department for Culture and Social 📸 Image: Ange Joannides #dioramaberlin
