Team
I've been fortunate, in the past couple of years, to surround myself with some very talented people.
While transitioning from snowboarding to canyoning, it was the shift from solo to teamwork that really had me hooked.
The idea of moving as a high functioning team, with a need to combine skills for on-the-fly problem solving 🤌🏼
Grateful for all the learnings, shared suffering, campfire chats and occasional rescue 🙏🏼

After 13 years together, full of memories and love, @_charlotteworkman_ and I finally tied the knot! 🪢
It was a mammoth effort to bring it all together, which wouldn't have been possible without the support of so many friends and family 🫂
A special day in a special place 🫶🏼

[ #findmòrfilm ] Premiere and award-winner! 🏆
We’re thrilled and honoured to announce that Find Mòr will have its international premiere on home turf at Fort William @mountainfestival next month 🏴 and its even been awarded the John Muir Trust Wild Places Film Prize 👐🏼
Three years ago, when we started chatting about bringing this little passion project to life with our pals, one of those distant ‘wouldn’t it be cool if’ dreams was to have our film selected for a festival. To sit in a cinema, sharing and reliving some wild adventures with old friends and new.
As debut filmmakers, we’ve been on a crazy rollercoaster of learning and we owe a huge thank you to the canyoning community (especially @dalestrang_nl@georgeyatescanyon & @v7bencase ) and all who have supported this project from the beginning.
Let’s kick this thing off with a bang! 🍻

[ #findmòrfilm ] Exploration. Community. Discovery.
Scotland still has its mysteries roaring in remote glens and sometimes hidden in plain sight.
Find Mòr follows a group of canyoneers over the span of two years as they embark on a journey of exploration into the hidden corners of the Scottish Highlands.
The film offers a unique perspective from within the relatively unknown niche community and discovers the myriad motivations that drive this passion of curiosity.
Setting out in search of uncharted canyons, they find true adventure and forge deep connections to people and place.
"You come for the canyons but stay for the people."

'Alive'
Growing up in Scotland, I assumed, like most people do, that every inch of the UK had been visited and it was mapped to perfection.
It was complete. Tie a big bow on top. Done.
Subsequently, I spent over a decade travelling to far flung places in search of genuine adventure, seeking a landscape that felt more 'alive'. Somewhere that offered a true challenge.
Over the past few years we've been chipping away at this film project, Find Mòr, documenting uncharted gorges/canyons in remote areas of Scotland.
Moving as a small team of three for the majority of the exploratory descents, simultaneously filming and rigging, it's been one of the most challenging projects I've ever worked on.
More importantly, it's been incredibly liberating to learn that these places still remain in the UK, unmapped and 'unexplored'.
Maybe it's more alive than first thought.

For years, I've known of and been inspired by Gus from afar.
He travelled the world, living an exciting life full of adventure, connection, and friendship. Everyone would speak so highly of him.
Last year, I had the opportunity to meet this beautiful man.
A super talented creative, effortlessly cool, oozing charm and charisma. I felt way out of my depth.
And yet he went out of his way to make me feel welcome, equal.
The few quiet moments we shared together between canyons/parties felt truly personal, unrushed. A gift he clearly gave to many.
Gus was, and will forever be, one of life's good guys
Thank you 🙏🏻
