"Los Ojos No Mienten"
Eye contact is the most universal form of communication. It's an acknowledgement of another being's existence, It’s vital to human interaction and the building of relationships between people. So what happens when you deny someone eye contact? Are you denying their existence?
This is my first piece at NYU Tisch Dance! I love choreographing but setting choreography that I deemed worthy held me back from creating something my first year. I kind of said f it and held myself accountable for actually starting this project. This piece is part of research I've been doing on eye contact! Surprise surprise.
The process was different to what I'm used to and had some trial and errors but I've learned so much as a person. Thank you to my dedicated dancers, you are exceptional and I hold each one of you dear to me. I'm so excited to create more!
